Akihiro Haga is a Japanese stunt performer and actor, who is primarily known for his action sequences in the Hollywood movie 'Avengers: Endgame' and the 'Power Rangers' series on the American television. He is trained in several forms of martial arts and weapon operations, in addition to being a certified stunt expert. Akihiro has displayed his excellent stunt skills in several video games and television series. His action performance caught the eyes of Hollywood casting agents and an illustrious career in movies soon followed. Akihiro has several TV commercials, internet projects and theatre credits under his belt. He also works as a stunt department crew member, and his job includes directing, coordinating and sometimes choreographing action and fight sequences. Akihiro has served as a stunt double for several popular actors. In addition to working in the mainstream entertainment industry, he has also worked as a circus stuntman for some time. Even though Akihiro is new to Hollywood, his talent and hard work indicate a promising in the upcoming years.

Akihiro Haga was born on 26 January 1981, in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. Not much is known about his parents and his early life. His educational details too remain unavailable to the media. However, the Japanese stuntman has an impressive resume, fully detailing his training in several forms of marital arts and stunt performances.
At the age of 13 he wanted to become ‘Mask Norider’ Jockey but got rejected because he was a junior high school at that time. When he was 15, he performed in a stage show. In the same year, he got his permanent residency in the US.
He has trained in several outdoor and adventure sports, including baseball, basketball, boxing, cycling, football, gymnastics, rollerblading, soccer, competitive swimming, track & field, bowling, volleyball, acrobat, billiard, mountain biking, roller skating, etc.
Akihiro’s athletic skills came handy in shaping his career as a stuntman. He also took martial arts lessons, which gave him an added advantage as a body double in action movies. Some of the martial arts forms that he is an expert in include Taekwondo, capoeira, judo, aikido, and wushu.
He has an expertise in handling martial art weapons, such as nunchaku, sword, and knife. He is also a prolific weapons master and can operate firearms efficiently.
Akihiro is professionally trained in rigger, ratchets, trampoline, high fall, air rams, horseback riding, parkour, tumbling and aerial trickster. He is also a certified scuba diver, PADI and bungee jumper.

Career
With an abundance of skills and training under his belt, Akihiro Haga decided to join the entertainment industry and become a stunt master. He started his career by doing stunts for television and video games.
Some of his first screen credits include the 13th season of the 'Power Rangers' franchise, which was based on the 'Super Sentai' series, 'Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger.'
While he was studying in a language school in Los Angeles in 2003, he was spotted by the stunt man Koichi Sakamoto and was given the opportunity to work in the ‘Power Rangers’ TV series. Akihiro served as a member of the stunt and action crew of the series for 38 episodes.
After his stint with ‘Power Rangers’ ended, he went back to Japan, but could not find any opportunities to utilize his skills there. Thereafter, he returned to New York in 2012 and worked in several notable projects.
He was a motion capture performer for the five releases of the video game franchise 'Yakuza', working in the 3rd, 4th and 5th editions of the series. He did the role of Yakuza 6 in ‘Syndicate Smasher’. 'Yakuza' is an action-adventure game of the "beat 'em up" franchise.
Akihiro worked in the football simulation game series 'Pro Evolution Soccer' (PES) and the action-adventure hack and slash video game series 'Devil May Cry', including the editions 'Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening' in 2006 and 'Devil May Cry: HD Collection' in 2012. He also performed in the Playstation and Xbox 360 action video game 'El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron.'
On the television front, he designed the stunts for the 'Red Ranger' group in 'Power Rangers Dino Charge,' the 20-second season of the Nickelodeon children's program 'Power Rangers.'
Akihiro performed stunts in the Marvel movie 'Thor: The Dark World.' He worked as the stunt double for Yutaka Takeuchi in the miniseries 'The Defenders' and Giullian Yao Gioiello in a few episodes of the Marvel-based series 'Iron Fist'.
His career breakthrough came in 2019 when he became part of the super successful Marvel movie 'Avengers: Endgame'. Akihiro was the stunt double for Hiroyuki Sanada who played Akihiko.
His future projects include the upcoming neo-noir action thriller 'John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum,' starring Keanu Reeves in the titular role. In the movie, Akihiro has worked as one of the Shinobi stuntmen.
Akihiro has a YouTube channel where he publishes the videos of his stunts. Sometimes, he also posts footages from his film shoots.
Akihiro is naturally fluent in Japanese language, but had to learned English to be able to start a career in Hollywood. Apart from being a prolific stunt man, he has also been trained in a few dance forms. To name a few, he is proficient in disco, hip hop, and jazz.
