Jeremy Samuel Piven is an American actor and producer, best known for his role as Ari Gold in the comedy series 'Entourage,' for which he won a 'Golden Globe Award' and three consecutive 'Emmy Awards.’ He is also noted for his role as Spence Kovak on Ellen DeGeneres' sitcom, 'Ellen' (1995-98) and for portraying Harry Selfridge in the British period drama 'Mr. Selfridge' (2013-16).
One of his earliest important roles was of head writer Jerry on HBO's 'The Larry Sanders Show' (1992). He next appeared in three episodes of 'Seinfeld' (1993), followed by guest roles in 'Chicago Hope' and 'Pride & Joy' (1995). He also produced and starred in the short-lived ABC drama series 'Cupid' (1998-99).
His filmography include several successful movies, such as 'Lucas' (1986), 'Singles' (1992), 'PCU' (1994), 'Heat' (1995), 'Grosse Pointe Blank' (1997), 'Very Bad Things' (1998), 'The Family Man' (2000), 'Black Hawk Down' (2001), 'The Kingdom' (2007), 'Old School' (2003), 'Rock N Rolla' (2008), 'Serendipity' (2001), 'Smokin' Aces' (2006), and 'Runaway Jury' (2003), as well as a cameo appearance in 'Rush Hour 2' (2001) and 'Cars' (2006).
