Yara Shahidi is a young American model and actress who has appeared in commercials for a number of products and brands including McDonald's, Target, GapKids, Ralph Lauren, Disney, The Children's Place and Guess Kids. However, she is mainly recognized for her acting role in the drama ‘Black-ish’ in which she played Zoey Johnson.   • Yara Shahidi started her entertainment career at the age of six, appearing in advertisements for McDonald's, Target, GapKids, Ralph Lauren, Disney, The Children's Place and Guess Kids. She made her acting debut in 2007, appearing in an episode of ‘Entourage’. Two years later, she did the movie ‘Imagine That’. The same year, she got featured in the drama series ‘In the Motherhood’, ‘Cold Case’ and ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’.
  • Shahidi was then cast in the movies ‘Salt’ and ‘Unthinkable’ as well as in the dramas ‘Lie to Me’ and ‘$h! My Dad Says’ in 2010. A year later, she played the role of Montana in the television movie ‘Rip City’. In 2011, the actress appeared in an episode of ‘The Cape’. After this, she acted in the flick ‘Alex Cross’.
  • In 2012, she was cast in the role of Chloe Johnson in the drama series ‘The First Family’. The following year, she had a role in the series ‘Scandal’.
