Will Darbyshire Bio

Will Darbyshire is an aspiring filmmaker. He always had an inclination toward literature and writing. He spends most of his time writing down his thoughts on random issues. He started off by making short films and posted them on Vimeo, a video-sharing website.

He then directed a biographical short film on Erik Sprague, who is popularly known as ‘The Lizardman.’ Will’s other short films include ‘Garden Sale’, ‘The Popup’ and ‘Space.’ He has also directed a documentary on the farmers working at a coffee farm in Costa Rica. He was inspired to film the hardships faced by those farmers when he got to know them better on one of his sponsored trips.

He then got an opportunity to attend the Cannes Film Festival. His trip to France was sponsored by the coffee brand, Nespresso. He also got a chance to judge a few aspiring filmmakers who had participated at the ‘Nespresso Talents 2017’, a unique vertical video competition.

Will basically films all his experiences as he loves telling his stories through his lens. Being a creative person, Will holds strong opinions on certain issues which he often discusses with his fans. His self-titled YouTube channel is packed with videos in which he has spoken about many issues that people go through, irrespective of their age. Some of the topics that he loves to talk about are introvert personalities, depression, loneliness, peer pressure, relationships, exam phobia and many more. His way of expressing his thoughts in a clear and soothing voice has made him a favorite of millions.

Will has spoken about his relationship with Arden Rose on many occasions. Arden Rose too, is a famous YouTuber. Through his videos, Will tries to bring out his views on modern romantic relationships. He has even authored a book titled ‘This Modern Love’ which is a compilation of his personal experiences in love relationships. The book also includes the letters, emails and conversations that Will has shared with his fans.

Before Will became popular as a motivational vlogger and author, he was a gamer. He even owned a gaming channel on YouTube which is no longer in use. Because of his passion for animation, Will has learned a lot about video editing which he uses extensively in all his videos. He also helps his friends and fellow YouTubers Jackson Harries and Finnegan Harries in video editing.

Will Darbyshire was born on February 26, 1993, in England. His full name is William Robert James Darbyshire. He has a younger brother named Dan. Will has never spoken about his parents.

At one point, Will wanted to become an animator. At the age of 14, he created a gaming YouTube channel which is no more functional. But the videos that he had posted on his gaming channel taught him a lot about video editing, which is very much evident in all his videos.

When Will was in school, he was diagnosed with Dyslexia, which resulted in poor retention and poor understanding. Reading literature and creative writing provided him with an opportunity to combat these issues. He considers himself as a person with contradicting nature. While he loves photography and filmmaking, he also hates being in front of the camera. Though he is an established vlogger, he still feels nervous while talking in front of the camera.

Will is a passionate traveler. He says travelling motivates and nurtures his creative side. He loves meeting new people and also loves to gain experiences from his travels. He is in a relationship with Arden Rose, who too, is a vlogger and gamer. They first met when Arden got herself enrolled at Derbyshire College. Arden was earlier in a long distance relationship, which eventually fell apart. Post her break up, Will provided emotional support and that paved the way for their relationship.
