Being the son of actor parents, Travis was expected to follow in their footsteps. He began his career as a child actor, with the role of ‘Lenny’ in the 2005 flick 'Loverboy.' He, however, later turned toward music and shaped a successful career in the same.

Travis commenced his music career by working as an assistant engineer with the record company 'The Wild Arctic.' Simultaneously, he performed at 'The Acheron.' Travis has also performed at other popular venues, namely, the 'Union Hall,' 'Club Europa,' and 'St. Vitus Bar.'

Travis is also the member of a rock–punk–funk band called 'Idiot Box.' In addition to this, he is associated with several other bands and groups. Until 2015, he was one of the members of the punk-rock and heavy-metal band 'White Widows Pact.' The following year, Travis joined the American black-metal band 'Black Anvil,' which was formed in 2007 with three members, Paul Delaney, Gary Bennett, and Ralph Glicken.

He owns the sound-recording studio 'Broken Box Recording Company,' located in Bushwick, Brooklyn, New York. He also serves as the head engineer of the studio.

Travis also composed the soundtrack of the TV movie ‘Story of a Girl,’ which was directed by his mother and starred his father and sister.

Travis was born on June 23, 1989, in Los Angeles, California, US. He is the first-born child of the actor and musician Kevin Bacon and his actor-turned-producer wife, Kyra Sedgwick. He grew up with his younger sister, Sosie Ruth Bacon.

Travis earned his BA and audio engineering degrees from the 'Evergreen State College,' Olympia, Washington, US.

As a newborn, Travis experienced a near-death situation due to his father’s carelessness. Kevin once left Travis in his locked car with the keys inside the car. The moment he realized what he had done, he started panicking. Thankfully, a person broke the car window and pulled Travis out. Travis was panting by then, but he recovered a while later.
