Who is Taveeta Szymanowicz?
Taveeta Szymanowicz is a Canadian actress, singer, and dancer. She is best known for playing Thalia in a teen drama TV series titled ‘The Next Step.’ She is also popular for portraying Valerie Graves in the musical comedy TV series ‘Make It Pop.’ After establishing herself as an actress, Szymanowicz went on to release a song titled ‘Resurrection,’ which marked her debut as a singer. While she posts her music videos on her primary YouTube channel, she also has a separate channel dedicated to her songs and extended plays. Szymanowicz is also a passionate dancer and directs a dance company called ‘Liberum Dance Project’ where she also serves as a choreographer. Apart from teaching dance, the company focuses on raising funds for various charities that work towards helping individuals with physical disabilities.

Taveeta Szymanowicz was born Taveeta Maria Chanel Szymanowicz-Bramble on June 17, 1996, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to a Caribbean father and a Polish mother. At the age of six, Szymanowicz was enrolled at a ballet school by her mother. She discovered her passion for dance at the age of nine when she started learning jazz. Subsequently, she attended ‘Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts’ where she learned classical ballet and contemporary dance. Before graduating from high school, Szymanowicz developed a passion for music as well.

Career
Taveeta Szymanowicz started her career as a dancer. In 2013, she launched a dance club called ‘Liberum Dance Project.’ The following year, she made her acting debut when she was cast to play Thalia in the hit children’s TV show ‘The Next Step.’ She played Thalia from 2014 to 2018, appearing in 73 episodes. In 2015, she was cast to play Valerie in the musical comedy series ‘Make It Pop.’ In 2017, she re-launched ‘Liberum Dance Project’ as a workshop-based dance company and started serving as its director.
On July 14, 2017, she released her debut extended play, ‘Resurrection,’ with nine tracks, including ‘Paradise’ featuring 80 Empire. In 2018, she appeared in two television movies, namely ‘The Sweetheart’ and ‘Hometown Holiday.’ In the same year, she also appeared in TV series such as ‘12 Monkeys’ and ‘Letterkenny’ and worked as a choreographer in one of the episodes of ‘The Next Step.’ In 2019, she was cast to play Tiffany in a family-drama film titled ‘Jazz Hands.’ In 2019, she was also cast to play prominent roles in TV series, such as ‘October Faction’ and ‘Dare Me.’

Taveeta Szymanowicz believes in giving back to the society. Her dance company, ‘Liberum Dance Project,’ works closely with several charities that work towards helping physically challenged people. She has two half-sisters named Piper and Ava. She currently lives in Toronto, Canada.
