Shiloh Thomas Fernandez is an American actor known for his roles in films such as ‘Deadgirl’ and ‘Evil Dead’, a reboot of the 1981 film of the same name. A well-known name in the world of television as well, he appeared in the TV series ‘United States of Tara’. Fernandez was born in Ukiah, California. He developed an early interest in acting and modelling. Despite being handsome and talented he went through much struggle in his initial years in the show business. As a young man he had worked as a dishwasher and a stock boy. He also began to model and eventually got noticed for his good looks and charisma. He began his acting career with a short film named ‘Wa$ted’, after which he appeared in the TV film ‘Crossroads: A Story of Forgiveness’. He finally started gaining popularity after his role in the black comedy horror film ‘Deadgirl’.

Between 2006 and 2007, he also had a recurring role in the post-apocalyptic action drama series ‘Jericho’. In 2007, he appeared in the TV film ‘Crossroads: A Story of Forgiveness’ as well. He continued appearing in guest roles in shows such as ‘Lincoln Heights’ and ‘CSI:NY’ in the ensuing months, after which he appeared in a recurring role in ‘United States of Tara’ in 2009.
Meanwhile, he also appeared in feature films like ‘Red’, and ‘Gardens of the Night’ in the late 2000s. He gained popularity after playing the lead in the 2008 black comedy horror film ‘Deadgirl’. It was directed by Marcel Sarmiento and also featured the actors Noah Segan, Candice Accola and Michael Bowen. It received mixed reviews. The same year, he also had a supporting role in the biographical drama film ‘Cadillac Records’. Though the film was a commercial failure, it received several awards and nominations. It received positive reviews from the critics as well.
His next important role was in the romantic horror film ‘Red Riding Hood’. Directed by Catherine Hardwicke, the film was loosely based on the popular folk tale ‘Little Red Riding Hood’. The film was a commercial success, earning around twice its budget, although its reviews were negative.
In 2013, he was seen in the movie ‘The East’. It was a commercial failure, but its reviews were generally positive. The same year, he was also seen in the supernatural horror film ‘Evil Dead’, which was directed by Fede Alvarez. The film was a reboot of the popular 1981 film of the same name.
His career continued to flourish and he appeared in many films, including ‘White Bird in a Blizzard’ (2014), ‘Queen of Carthage’ (2014), ‘Return to Sender’ (2015), ‘Edge of Winter’ (2016), and ‘Long Nights, Short Mornings’ (2016). Meanwhile, he was also active in the TV industry, playing guest roles in shows like ‘Falling Water’ and ‘Instinct’.
His most recent work is the 2019 thriller film ‘Burn’. He will be seen the films ‘The Birthday Cake’ as Gio and ‘Big Gold Brick’ as Roy in near future.

Shiloh Fernandez was born in Ukiah, California, on 26th February 1985. He is of mixed Portuguese, Russian, and British descent. He has one brother and one sister.
Before he became an actor, he used to work as a dishwasher. He also later worked as a stock boy, which he described as “the worst job ever.”
