Scott Michael Foster is an American actor, best recognised for his performance in television series ‘Greek,’ ‘Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,’ and ‘Chasing Life.’ Scott became interested in acting during his elementary school. His passion for acting developed with time and he started performing in theatre while attending high school. He later dropped out of college to pursue a career in acting. His breakthrough came with main role of ‘Captain John Paul "Cappie" Jones’ in the ABC comedy-drama series ‘Greek.’ While working on it, Scott got the lead role in the independent drama film ‘Teenage Dirtbag.’ Moving on, he starred in films ‘The Pact 2,’ ‘My Dead Boyfriend,’ and ‘In the Key of Love’; and played main role in television series ‘Zero Hour’ and ‘Blood & Oil.’ He appeared in recurring role in several television series like ‘Californication,’ ‘Chasing Life,’ and ‘Once Upon a Time.’ He also guest-featured in popular series such as ‘The Closer’ and ‘Law & Order: LA.’ His recurring role of ‘Nathaniel Plimpton III’ in the romantic musical comedy-drama television series ‘Crazy Ex-Girlfriend’ was eventually transformed into a main role. Besides acting, Scott has also forayed as a musician and performs as lead singer of the indie rock band ‘Siren's Eye.’

Childhood & Early Life
  • Scott Michael Foster was born on March 4, 1985, at the Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Illinois, US. He later relocated to the city of ‘Highland Village’ in Denton County, Texas. He became interested in acting while he was still in his elementary school; he was inspired his two elder sisters who were associated with theatres.
  • He attended ‘Briarhill Middle School’ where he selected theatre as an elective. He then studied at the ‘Edward S. Marcus High School’ and graduated in 2003. While attending high school, Scott got involved in theatre. He joined ‘Collin College’ for further studies and attended the ‘Quad C Theatre’ program. Scott, however, dropped out of college after completing one semester to start his professional acting career.
  • Credited as ‘Scott M. Foster,’ he played the role of ‘Billy’ in the small indie drama film ‘The Horrible Flowers.’ The film premiered at the ‘São Paulo International Film Festival’ in Brazil on October 20, 2006, and later at the ‘Tucson Film & Music Festival,’ on September 2, 2007. He appeared in a single episode of the series ‘The Game’ and ‘Women's Murder Club,’ in 2007.
  • His real breakthrough came when he was cast in one of the main roles of ‘Captain John Paul "Cappie" Jones’ in the American comedy-drama television series ‘Greek.’ He appeared in all four seasons of the show that ran on ABC Family, from July 9, 2007 to March 7, 2011.
  • Meanwhile, he became part of regular cast of the American web series called ‘Quarterlife.’ It was also telecast as an NBC television series for a brief period in 2008.
