Samara Redway who runs her successful YouTube channel was once a withdrawn and social ‘misfit’. Yes, as bizarre as this may sound, it is true. Samara was withdrawn and socially isolated during her childhood and struggled to fit in any group setting. And much of this social regression was due to some events in her personal life. However, life turned around for Samara when she moved to Australia. It was essentially in Australia that her outlook towards life changed from being always unhappy and lost to feeling cheerful and spirited.

A ‘second life’ of sorts began for Samara, and she befriended Andre upon returning to Vancouver. Andre introduced her to YouTube, and even prompted her to start a career in social media. Laughing it off initially, Samara gave it a shot and has never looked back since. Her channel’s content largely consists of videos about her everyday life, some fun facts, vlogs, Qs & As, gaming videos, challenges, makeup tutorials and more. As of now, Samara has amassed more than 800,000 subscribers to her YouTube channel. Family & Personal Life

Samara Redway was born on March 10, 1995 in Vancouver BC, Canada. She has a half-sister and a half-brother. When Samara was still a toddler, her parents moved to a smaller house, located next to her grandparents’ house. The move turned out to be beneficial for Samara as she spent much of her growing up years with them. Tragically, however, her father who did not want to have a family life or any kind of responsibility, separated from his wife and moved out. Thereon, Samara developed a deep bond with her mom which is still strong.

Following her mother’s second marriage and the births of her step-siblings, Samara spent much of her time with her grandparents. Her relationship with her stepdad was a strained one. Eventually, her mother got a second divorce and life turned favourably for Samara. However, by then, she was emotionally shattered and weak as isolation and anxiety issues bowed her down. Academically though, Samara was brilliant. Her grades helped her get admission at the University of Alberta. It was at Alberta that Samara first started making funny videos of herself to kill boredom in her spare time. Following her grandmother’s demise, Samara moved back to Vancouver and resumed her studies at the University of Calgary, but she could not cope up. She then took a year’s break and moved to Australia before returning to Vancouver with revived spirit and energy. Romantically, Samara was involved with Andre, the man behind her YouTube foray. It was upon his insistence that Samara started making videos and rest as they say is history.
