Ryan McCartan is an American actor and singer. He is best recognized for playing the recurring role of Diggie on Disney Channel’s series ‘Liv and Maddie’ and of Brad Majors in the Fox musical flick ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let's Do the Time Warp Again’. Besides being an actor, McCartan is also a producer and musician. Together with his then-girlfriend Dove Cameron, he founded the group ‘The Girl and the Dreamcatcher’ which is known for their singles "All I Want for Christmas Is You", "Glowing in the Dark" and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas". McCartan, who has also been active in choir and theatre performances since childhood, is a true asset to the American entertainment industry. In 2011, he was one of the recipients of ‘Jimmy Award’, the top honor conferred by National High School Musical Theater Awards. On a personal note, McCartan is a very down-to-earth and affectionate individual. He is known for his polite demeanor and gentlemanly personality.

  • Ryan McCartan started his career with a small part in the theatrical version of Disney's ‘High School Musical’ in the year 2007. In 2013, he started playing the role of Diggie in Disney Channel’s comedy series ‘Liv and Maddie’. That year, he was also cast as Jason "J.D." Dean in the Off-Broadway play ‘Heathers: The Musical’ that premiered at New World Stages. Soon after, the actor starred as William Phipps V in the comedy-drama series ‘Royal Pains’.
  • He featured in the direct-to-video movie ‘R.L. Stine's Monsterville: Cabinet of Souls’ in 2015. Around the same time, McCartan launched the pop duo ‘The Girl and the Dreamcatcher’. The group’s first single titled "Written in the Stars" was released in October 2015. In the year 2016, the actor was cast in the lead role of Brad Majors in a musical television movie called ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let's Do the Time Warp Again’. The following year, he had guest appearances in two episodes of 'Midnight, Texas' and was also cast in a recurring role in the horror web TV series ‘Freakish’. In September 2018, he made his Broadway debut in ‘Wicked.’ He was also featured in an episode of ‘Love Daily’ the same year.
