Career
Prajakta Koli enjoyed performing on stage and dreamt of becoming an RJ (radio jockey) since she was nine years old. After graduating from college, she took up an internship at ‘Fever 104 FM’ radio station in Mumbai. After 9 months of working as a production assistant, she bagged the opportunity of hosting a late night show. She met the actor, Hrithik Roshan, during this time and shot a series of funny videos with him. She did not think much of the videos, but the VP of ‘One Digital Entertainment’ noticed that she had a talent for digital entertainment and suggested that she should start her own YouTube channel. She made a life altering decision of quitting her job soon after and started her YouTube channel with the video ‘Types of Singles’ that was uploaded on Valentine’s Day, 2015. She did not experience immediate success, but struggled quite a bit to gain followers. But with the support of her family and the guidance of her team, she uploaded a video ’10 hilarious words Delhites use’ in June 2015, which became a viral hit and she garnered 30,000 subscribers in just 2 months. In October 2016, her channel hit the 1 million subscribers milestone.
