Mariqueen Maandig Biography
Mariqueen Maandig is a Filipino American singer-songwriter and musician. She is best known as the singer of the musical group How to Destroy Angels as well as the former vocalist of the rock band West Indian Girl. She has released several albums in her career. With How to Destroy Angels, Maandig released the albums titled ‘How to Destroy Angels’, ‘An Omen’ and ‘Welcome Oblivion’. With West Indian Girl, she worked on the albums ‘West Indian Girl’ and ‘4th & Wall’. Maandig has also collaborated with songwriter BAO and served as a guest vocalist on two of his band Ming & Ping's tracks: ‘Chinatown’ from their album ‘The Darkness of Night’ and ‘Mixed Melodies’ from their eponymous album. The Filipino American singer cum musician has also provided backing vocals for the song ‘She's Gone Away’ from the EP ‘Not the Actual Events’. Maandig, who is moderately active on Twitter and Instagram, loves to stay connected with her fans and keeps updating her profiles from time to time.
- From 2004 to 2009, Maandig served as the vocalist for the Los Angeles based band West Indian Girl. During this time, she helped release the band’s albums ‘West Indian Girl’ and ‘4th & Wall’. She also posed for Playboy’s January 2009 issue and appeared as the ‘Becoming Attraction’ on the magazine.

She, along with her family, then moved to the City of Orange Country, USA where she completed her elementary education. Following her high school graduation, she enrolled at a fashion school with the dream of pursuing a professional career as a stylist. However, Maandig later dropped out from there to venture into a musical career.

The following year, she gave birth to his son Lazarus Echo. Later on in 2011, Maandig gave birth to their second son, Balthazar Venn. The couple went on to have two more kids, a son and a daughter (Nova Lux Reznor), later on. Currently, Maandig resides with her husband and children in Beverly Hills, California.
