Lorenzo Lamas is an American actor, singer and pilot. Born to established actors, Fernando Lamas and Arlene Dahl, Lamas knew at a young age that he wanted to work in the film industry. He studied acting at Tony Barr’s Film Actors Workshop and soon made his debut with a minor role in the hit musical ‘Grease’ in 1978. After this early break, he began starring as a guest actor in many low-budget films in the 1980s. He received his break and recognition after joining the cast of ‘Falcon Crest’ as Lance Cumson, a series that ran for nine years. His performance earned him a Golden Globe nomination. His next breakthrough was his portrayal of Reno Raines in the crime series ‘Renegade’, which was a popular show during its day. However, his trajectory since the 2000s has gone down as he mostly worked in action movies with repetitive themes and stories. Despite being selective about his roles, Lamas couldn’t get out of the action hero stereotype. Therefore, he decided to embark on a new career altogether. He is currently working as a tourist helicopter pilot who flies tourists from Los Angeles to Grand Canyon.
