Lil Tay was a social media star and rapper. Her real name was Claire Eileen Qi Hope. She hogged the limelight mostly because of controversies. She was infamous for using abusive language, profanity, multiple verbal brawls with other social media stars, and bizarre statements. She was a self-proclaimed billionaire and was often seen flaunting stacks of cash in her internet posts. She even composed a rap titled as ‘Money Way’ to showcase her wealth. Her internet posts were often subjected to trolls and criticisms. Lil Tay rightfully got the title of the ‘Youngest Flexer of the Century'. She claimed to be broke at the age of six and was forced to ‘move bricks’ (a phrase meaning selling drugs). Thereafter, she worked hard and earned a lifestyle for herself. She lived in her ‘Hollywood Hills’ mansion. She flaunted her wardrobe, always stuffed with branded pieces. She also boasted about the fleet of cars she owned and drove without a license! Roasted by many YouTubers, Lil Tay was titled as the ‘Youngest Flexer of the Century.’ In addition to that, she was also labeled as one of the most annoying and spoilt girls on the internet.

Lil Tay made headlines for some of her weird statements. She was often spotted with social media star Whoa Vicky whom she claims to be her foster mother. Lil Tay was heavily trolled after she came out with this proclamation. Lil Tay had a beef with YouTuber Rice Gum after she bullied his sister online. Her verbal brawl with the 'Cash Me Outside' fame Bhad Bhabie too created headlines.

In addition to her brags over her riches, Lil Tay often boasted about her friendship with famous personalities, such as Chief Keef and Jake Paul. She had announced a collaborative rap with Chief Keef. With Jake, she released a 'Diss Track.' To gloat more about her fortune, Lil Tay composed a rap titled as ‘Money Way'.

Lil Tray was born on May 29, 2009, in Los Angeles, California. Not much information is known regarding her family background. However, there was some news in the past regarding her troubled childhood. 

Apart from the statement of being broke at the age of six, she also claimed to be house arrested and had her phone confiscated once. There were rumors that she was secretly supported by her parents. According to some sources, Lil Tay's mother, who lives in Canada, might be her manager. Her name is Angela Tian and is a real estate businesswoman. All these rumors surfaced after Lil Tay released a video where a mystery woman was seen filming the video.

It was earlier reported that Lil Tay was forced to leave her family home in 'Beverly Hills.' She was later found and picked up by some child protective service agents. Lil Tay posted a video on her Instagram feed where she was seen in the child service office.

On 9 August 2023, it was anounced on her Instagram handle that she is no more. The exact cause of her death is not known.

Lil Tay was a big fan of the famous rapper Lil Pump and wished to perform with him someday.
