When he was five years old, Kevin made his first appearance on television. It was on ‘The Man Show’s pilot episode, which aired on June 16, 1999, on Comedy Central. In the ensuing three years, he appeared in 22 other episodes of the show. In 2004, he made an appearance in his father’s current show.

Between 2003 and 2004, he voiced a puppet version of himself in six episodes of Comedy Central’s ‘Crank Yankers’, which was created by Jimmy Kimmel, Kimmel’s younger brother Jonathan, long-time partner Adam Carolla, and TV producer Daniel Kellison.

In 2001, he served in the sound department of CBS’ reality series ‘Survivor’ for an episode. He returned to the ‘Survivor’ set three years later to do the same work. In 2007, he operated the p.a. mixer in two live episodes of NBC’s ‘Last Comic Standing’. A year later, he worked in the sound department of Nickelodeon's ‘Dance on Sunset’. He also served as the sound mixer on the set of the CBS reality show ‘Big Brother’. In 2009, he worked in the audio department of Nickelodeon's game show ‘BrainSurge’ for one episode. From 2009 to 2013, he operated the p.a. mixer of ‘Tosh.0’, a Comedy Central show hosted and produced by comedian Daniel Tosh.

Kevin’s first job as a production assistant was on the set of ‘Tubbin' with Tash’ in 2013. He then worked on ‘The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail’, another Comedy Central show,

Kevin was born on September 19, 1993, in Arizona, USA, to Jimmy and Gina Maddy Kimmel. He has a sister, Katie, who is about two years older than him. His parents were college sweethearts. They exchanged wedding vows on June 25, 1988, and subsequently moved to Seattle, Washington, where Kimmel was hired to be the co-host of ‘The Me and Him Show’ at KZOK-FM alongside Kent Voss. Katie, who was born during this period, has gone on to become an accomplished fashion designer. When the couple welcomed Kevin into their world, Kimmel was working at KRQQ in Tucson, Arizona. The family subsequently moved to Los Angeles, California after Kimmel got a job at KROQ-FM.

In 1997, four years after the birth of his son, Kimmel landed his first TV job, on Comedy Central’s game show ‘Win Ben Stein's Money’. Kimmel co-hosted ‘The Man Show’ with Adam Carolla from 1999 to 2003. Since 2003, he has been hosting ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ on ABC. Kevin’s mother has worked as a costume designer on films like ‘Party Like the Rich and Famous’ (2012) and ‘Party Like the Queen of France (2012).

His parents parted ways on June 16, 2003. Kevin has two half-siblings from his father’s second marriage, to TV writer Molly McNearney: Jane (born July 10, 2014) and William (April 21, 2017).

Kevin is in a relationship with a woman named Nicole Francisca Quiroz and often shares photographs of her on his Instagram profile. According to a December 2018 post, they have been together for over a decade.
