Julia Goldani Telles is an American actress and ballet dancer, best known for her performances in the ‘Showtime’ original series, ‘The Affair,’ and the ABC family series, ‘Bunheads.’ Born in Los Angeles, US, she spent her early childhood in Rio de Janeiro, The family later returned back to Los Angeles. Telles started learning ballet dancing from a young age in Brazil and continued taking the dance lessons after her return to the US. She performed in a number of ballet shows before she was forced to take a break from dancing due to an injury. Telles joined a drama course and successfully auditioned for the TV series, ‘Bunheads.’ This was followed by some guest roles and then the main role of ‘Whitney Solloway’ in the popular series, ‘The Affair.’ She has also appeared in films such as ‘Slender Man,’ ‘Most Likely to Murder,’ and ‘The Wind.’

  • In 2011, she auditioned for the role of ‘Sasha Torres’ in the ‘ABC Family’ series, ‘Bunheads.’ Prior to that she had no acting experience or any resume, yet she was successful at the audition and worked in the series that premiered on June 11, 2012, and ran for 18 episodes. In 2012, she featured in the music video of the song ‘Greatest Prize’ by Nat and Alex Wolff.
  • She appeared in a short role in the TV show, ‘Blue Bloods,’ (2014). She appeared as ‘Amelia Strong’ in ‘The Carrie Diaries’ (2014). In another 2014 TV series, ‘Nurse Jackie,’ she essayed the role of ‘Mandy’ in 3 episodes.
  • Soon after the cancellation of ‘Bunheads,’ Telles came across a strong and interesting role of ‘Whitney Solloway’ in the Showtime (2014 – till present) series, ‘The Affair.’ Her performance in this long-running series brought her fame and recognition. In 2016, she featured in the TV miniseries, ‘Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.’
  • Telles made her film debut with the 2018 American supernatural horror film, ‘Slender Man,’ wherein she portrayed the role of ‘Hallie’ and worked with Joey King, Jaz Sinclair, Javier Botet among others. She also appeared in ‘Most Likely to Murder’ and ‘The Wind’ in 2018. Her forthcoming projects are ‘Looks That Kill,’ and ‘The Space Between.’
