He is particularly known for his brilliant portrayal of comedic roles in movies, such as 'Accepted,' 'Grandma's Boy,' 'Superbad,' '21 Jump Street,' and 'War Dogs.' Coming from a creative family, he was inclined towards creative writing since his childhood. Jonah used to write and perform plays during his school and college days. After finishing his school and college, he joined ‘The New Drama School’ in New York to polish his skills and learn new things. As he studied drama in depth, he realized that he actually wanted to be an actor. While performing in a college play, he got introduced to Dustin Hoffman, who encouraged him to audition for a role in a Hollywood movie titled ‘I Heart Huckabees.’ His audition turned out to be a success as he landed the role. Jonah Hill was born on December 20, 1983, in Los Angeles, California, USA, to Richard Feldstein and Sharon Lyn. His father was a tour accountant for ‘Guns N' Roses,’ an American hard rock band, and his mother was a costume designer and fashion stylist.
He has a sister named Beanie Feldstein who is a well-known actor. He also has a brother named Jordan Feldstein who manages the famous band ‘Maroon 5.’
Born and raised in a creative family, Jonah wanted to become a famous writer. As a child, he had a dream of being a part of the writing team of ‘The Simpsons’ and ‘Saturday Night Live.’

Jonah made his debut in 2004 with a Hollywood movie named ‘I Heart Huckabees.’ During his college days, he had become close friends with Dustin Hoffman’s children, Rebecca and Jake. It was his friendship with Rebecca and Jake that helped Hill to land this role.
Following his debut film, he landed roles in many other movies. He played a minor role in ‘The 40-Year-Old Virgin,’ and a supporting role in a romantic comedy-drama film titled ‘Knocked Up.’
The turning point of his career was in 2007, when he landed a role in the hit comedy movie ‘Superbad.’ The role earned him two nominations at ‘MTV Movie Awards’ and ‘Teen Choice Awards.’
