Jinger Nicole Duggar was born on December 21, 1993, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Her father is Jim Bob Duggar, and mother is Michelle Duggar. They are devout Christians, and believe in inculcating values in their children. Jinger Duggar is the sixth child, and the fourth girl child, of her parents.

Duggar was home-schooled, like all her siblings. She is closest to her elder sister, Jessa Seewald. The two sisters are only 13 months apart in age, and share a close bond. Being one of the eldest kids of the family, Duggar was assigned household chores, while growing up. The Duggar family implemented a buddy system of bringing up their children, where each elder kid had to take care of one of their younger siblings.

As a child, Duggar loved doing the household work. She did laundry, and prepared food for the family. Duggar took piano lessons from Ruth Anita Anderson. She took violin classes too. She was well-versed in the lessons from Bible. As a teenager, Duggar followed the instructions given by her parents. She had long hair, and kept it permed, as per the wishes of her father.

In 2004, Jinger Duggar made her debut on TV, with the documentary movie, ‘14 Children and Pregnant Again.’ It was the first exposure for the entire Duggar family. When the movie was made, Duggar had 13 siblings. The movie was directed by Kirk Streb, and was broadcast on the ‘Discovery Health’ channel. It showed the life of the Duggar family, with their 14 kids. The parents did not adopt any birth control measures, and let God decide the number of kids they were to have. The unique way of living of the family, captured the attention of public.

In 2006, Duggar starred in the TV movie, ‘Raising 16 Children.’ The Duggar family had two more kids by then. After the success of ‘14 Kids and Pregnant Again,’ viewers were interested in knowing more about the unique family. In the movie, Jinger Duggar, and every other member of the Duggar family, played themselves. It showed their routine life, where everyone is assigned a specific work. It also showed the orderly manner in which the Duggars moved to their new accommodation.

In 2008, Jinger Duggar starred in the TV movie, ‘Duggar’s Big Family Album.’ In 2009, she participated in the talk show, ‘Larry King Live.’ In 2010, Duggar performed in the TV movie, ‘Duggars Make a Movie.’

In 2008, Duggar and her family, were selected for the reality TV show, ‘19 Kids and Counting.’ It was telecast on the ‘TLC’ channel. The show focused on the Duggar family, and their way of upbringing the children. All the children were home-schooled, and were taught about Christian beliefs. The show had a successful run for seven years. During the course of the show, the family welcomed three children. Three of the elder children were married, and four grandchildren were born. The show was cancelled in 2015, following some scandals related to the eldest son of the family.

In 2015, Duggar was chosen for the reality show, ‘Counting On,’ which was a spin-off of the show, ’19 Kids and Counting.’ It is being telecast on the ‘TLC’ channel. The show concentrates on the lives of the elder Duggar siblings. During the course of the show, Jinger Duggar married Jeremy Vuolo. The marriage of some of her siblings too, were shown in the show. During the show, Duggar announced her pregnancy, and gave birth to a girl. The show is running successfully.

In 2015, Jinger Duggar penned the book, ‘Growing Up Duggar: It’s All About Relationships.’ She co-authored the book with her sisters, Jana, Jill, and Jessa. In the book, they speak about their faith, the rules about courtship laid out by their parents, and their dreams for future. The book was widely sold in the United States.

In 2015, Jinger Duggar met Jeremy Vuolo, while she was on a mission trip to Central America. He was a professional athlete. As the Duggar family believed in chaperoned dating, the couple started dating with the consent of her parents. They married on November 5, 2016. The couple live in Laredo, Texas, where Vuolo works as a pastor in a church. In July 2018, they welcomed their daughter, Felicity Nicole Vuolo.

In May 2015, the magazine, ‘In Touch Weekly’ published a news that Josh, the eldest son of the Duggar family, had molested his sisters. Following this report, the show, ’19 Kids and Counting’ was cancelled. The Duggar sisters sued the magazine for breach of privacy.

All the children of the Duggar family have their names starting with the alphabet ‘J.’ The names are inspired by ‘The Bible.’
