Childhood & Early Life
Glenn Morshower was born on 24 April 1959 in Dallas, Texas. His parents were Alan Jackson Bennett and Barbara Mae Phelps, who separated when Glenn was very young. His mother got married to Harry Sidney Morchower, whose surname he took. Sidney Morchower was the co-founder of Dallas Handbag Company.
He was raised in Currin Drive in Dallas, Texas. He attended Arthur Kramer Elementary School. Eventually, he finished his schooling from Hillcrest High School in Dallas, Texas in 1977.

Career
Glenn Morshower started acting while he was still in high school. His debut film was ‘Drive-In’, a 1976 comedy film, which was directed by Rod Amateau. His next film was ‘Dead & Buried’, a 1981 horror film directed by Gary Sherman. The film did very poorly at the box office, though it has gained mostly positive reviews from critics.
In 1984, he appeared in the science fiction film ‘The Philadelphia Experiment’. Directed by Stewart Raffill, the film is based around an urban legend of the same name. The story takes place in 1943, where two sailors David and Jim who are stationed on a ship are used for an experiment to make it invisible to radar. However, something goes horribly wrong with the experiment and the ship completely disappears and the duo finds themselves in the Nevada desert in 1984.
Over the next few years, he was seen in various other films, some of them including ‘Tango & Cash’ (1989), ‘Under Siege’ (1992), ‘Runaway Car’ (1997), and ‘Air Force One’ (1997). He also played guest roles in several TV shows, such as ‘Quantum Leap’, in 1991, and ‘Star Trek: Voyager’ in 1995.
In 1998, he was seen in the monster film ‘Godzilla’, in a supporting role. Though the film was quite successful commercially, earning over $ 370 million on a budget of around $ 150 million, it was met with negative reviews from critics.
Some other noteworthy movies he appeared in include ‘Black Hawk Down’, a 2001 war film, which was directed by Ridley Scott. The movie did quite well commercially and earned over $ 170 million on a budget of $ 110 million. Morshower’s most important and best-known work on television is his role of Aaron Pierce in the action drama series ‘24’. He acted in the series in multiple seasons between 2001 and 2009. The series also gained huge popularity throughout his run, earning several awards and nominations as well. Between 2007 and 2010, he had a recurring role in another TV series ‘Friday Night Lights’.
In 2007, he had an important role in the sci-fi film ‘Transformers’ where he played Colonel Sharp. Directed by Michael Bay, the film is based on a toy line of the same name. The film was a huge success at the box office, and earned over $ 700 million on a budget of $ 150 million.
In 2009, he reprised his role in the sequel ‘Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’. It performed quite well at the box office, earning over $ 830 million on a budget of $ 200 million. However, reviews were generally negative and critics considered it inferior to the first installment. He was seen in four other films the same year, including ‘ExTerminators’(2) and ‘Fire from Below’.
In 2011, he played Colonel Hendry in the superhero film ‘X-Men: First Class’, which is based on the X-Men characters of Marvel comics. It was the fifth installment of the X-Men film series. The film was a commercial success. The same year, he appeared in the third Transformers film ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’.
The film was a humongous success commercially, earning over 1 billion. It also became one of the highest earning films of all time. It received mostly mixed reviews. In 2015, he appeared in the mystery thriller ‘Dark Places’. Between 2015 and 2019, he also had a recurring role in the superhero series ‘Supergirl’.
In 2017, he was seen in the fourth Transformers film ‘Transformers: The Last Knight’. The film was made on a budget of over $ 200 million, and it did well commercially, earning a total of $ 600 million. Reviews were negative and it is regarded as the worst movie of the Transformers film series.
