Donald Faison is an American actor, comedian, and a voice artist. He is best known for playing the leading role as Dr. Chris Turk in the ABC comedy-drama ‘Scrubs’, and a minor role in the film ‘Clueless’ in 1995. He has also starred in the TV Land sitcom ‘The Exes’ and was nominated for NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actor for his performance. Apart from TV series, Faison has co-starred in movies like ‘Remember the Titans’, ‘Kick-Ass 2’, ‘Something New’ and many more. He began acting since he was a child, and slowly progressed from school plays to television commercials to movies. Along with movies and sitcoms, he has also appeared in few music videos. In 2009, he participated in NBA Celebrity Game along with few other celebrities. In 2010, Faison appeared in comedy sitcom ‘The Odds’. Currently, he is hosting the comedy sketch show ‘Who Gets the Last Laugh’ and the game show ‘Winsanity’.

Childhood & Early Life
Donald Faison was born on 22 June 1974 in Harlem, in New York City, to Shirley and Donald Faison. His father was a building manager and his mother Shirley was a talent agent. He has an elder brother Olamide Faison who is also an actor.
He did his schooling from Professional Children’s School in Manhattan. Along with that, he also went to La Guardia high School for Music, Art and Performing Arts. His popularity began to rise after he graduated in 1992.

Career
Donald Faison made his acting debut with a commercial in 1991 for Folgers coffee at the age of 17, where he played the younger brother of a soldier returning from war.
In 1992, he featured with Malik Yoba in the ABC News special ‘Prejudice: Answering Children’s Questions’ which was hosted by Peter Jennings.
In 1995, his movie ‘Clueless’ was released in which he played the role of Murray Lawrence Duvall. His performance in the movie was highly acclaimed and he became famous after that. In the same year, his other movie ‘Waiting to Exhale’ was also released.
He got the opportunity to play a recurring role as Tracy on ‘Felicity’ (1999). He has also appeared in the movie ‘Remember the Titans’ (2000) as Petey Jones. Moreover, he has provided voice work for many characters in the MTV animated series ‘Clone High’.
In 2001, he landed a permanent role in ‘Scrubs’, a comedy about medical interns. Faison has featured in number of sitcoms where he had minor roles such as ‘Sister, Sister’ and ‘Sabrina, the Teenage Witch’, and also in the movie ‘Josie and the Pussycats’.
He has also produced one episode of MTV’s ‘Punk’d’ with his co-star from ‘Scrubs’ Zach Braff, in 2005. In addition to this, he was seen in the music videos like ‘Sittin’ Up in My Room’, ‘Fall Out Boy’s’ cover of Michael Jackson’s ‘Beat It’ and Gavin Degraw’s ‘Chariot’.
Donald also participated in the NBA All-Star Weekend Celebrity Game on 13 February 2009. With Faison some other celebrities too participated like NBA Hall of Famers Clyde Drexter and Dominique Wilkins, NFL wide-receiver Terrell Owens, actor Chris Tucker and four Harlem Globetrotters.
In 2010, he co-starred in science fiction thriller ‘Skyline’ alongside Scottie Thompson, Brittany Daniel, Eric Balfour, Crystal Reed, Laz Alonso. He was also seen in 2010 CBS comedy pilot ‘The Odds’.
In March 2011, he featured in commercials for ‘The Sims Medieval’. He has also made a cameo appearance in the famous movie ‘Pitch Perfect’, in 2012.

On 15 December 2012, Faison married his second wife, Cacee Cobb after they dated each other for six years. The ceremony was held at home of Faison’s friend and co-star from ‘Scrubs’ Zach Braff who was also the groomsman. Singer Jessica Simpson served as the bridesmaid. They have a son Rocco who was born in 2013, and a daughter Wilder Frances who was born in 2015. Donald Faison also have a son named Sean (born in 1997) from a previous relationship.

Donald Faison is a big Star Wars fan.
Before he started acting, Faison has worked as a lifeguard.
His middle name is Adeosun which is taken from words ‘ade’ meaning ‘crown’ and ‘osun’ which means ‘river of life’ in Yoruba.
Due to his popularity from the movie ‘Clueless’ his ‘Scrubs’ co-stars used to refer to him as ‘that guy from Clueless’.
Faison once gave his used napkin to Improv Everywhere for one of their missions. Basically, their mission was to sell used celebrity trash in Times Square for which he provided the napkin.
