Dillon Rupp is an American music artist, DJ, and social media influencer. In his impressive musical career so far, Dillon, also known as DJ Rupp, has opened for world-renowned artists like Demi Lovato and Tyga. Dillon’s career started back in his high school days, as he released his debut single, ‘Buckwild,’ in 2014. The song went on to chart at the top position on the iTunes charts for a couple of days, gaining him recognition. Dillon and his music are quite popular on social media. His Instagram page has gathered over 494,000 followers, while his Twitter page has amassed more than 470,000 followers. He also uploads his music on Spotify and SoundCloud, much to the delight of thousands of his fans.
- Dillon Rupp was born on March 26, 1997, in Indiana, United States of America. He attended ‘Princeton Community High School’ in Indiana. Dillon was interested in music right from the beginning. During his junior high school days, he started working with various instruments, software, and apps, trying to create his own music. In one of his interviews, he revealed that he used to make music on a MacBook with the help of the software ‘GarageBand’ in his grandfather’s guest bedroom. He then started making music CDs and distributed them to his schoolmates. In 2014, he joined hands with his schoolmate Taylor Caniff and released his first single, ‘Buckwild.’ The duo called themselves ‘2Virgins’ and they even got to perform the song live at the ‘Meet and Greet Convention’ (MAGCON) that took place in New Jersey. - After the massive success of his debut single, Dillon Rupp relocated to Los Angeles, California. At the age of 17, Dillon flew down to Los Angeles with the help of his former manager. The idea behind moving to Los Angeles was to make music by joining hands with other young hip hop artists. In 2015, he released another single titled ‘Where Art Thou,’ which featured artists like Skate and Sammy Wilk. In the same year, he dropped few other singles titled ‘Party of the Year’ and ‘Indiana.’ In 2016, he came up with a rather controversial single titled ‘Gorgeous,’ which earned notoriety for its lyrics. DJ Rupp is currently working on a couple of singles and hopes to release albums in the future.
