Davine Nesbitt found his early success as a Viner. Posting videos with a definitive comedic undertone, he had amassed more than two hundred thousand followers. By early 2017, however, Vine had shut down for good. Davine was one of the few former Viners who have managed to replicate their Vine success on other social media platforms. He already had set up his YouTube channel on October 1, 2014. He posted his first YouTube video, titled ‘How to Get Curly Hair for Black Men| Short Curly Hair| Natural| Routine’, on October 13, 2016. In his early days on YouTube, most of the content he put out consisted of reaction videos. That began to change after he started dating Bri Chief. Since then, he has posted vlogs and challenge, prank, and mukbang videos.

Davine has gained notoriety for using clickbait titles and misleading descriptions to attract more audience. Some of the most popular videos on his channel are ‘I CRIED // Ten Toes Down Challenge (Girls Edition) Reaction’, ‘New WorldStarHipHop Fight Compilation!! Reaction’, and ‘Dirty Truth or Dare | Davine Jay’.
