As Co-founder of Facebook

He became friends with Mark Zuckerberg and they attended classes together, specially the classes on operating systems. They spent a lot of quality time in Harvard discussing various projects. Among all the projects, it was the Facebook project that they talked most about. During the spring term of the university, Andrew received an email from Mark Zuckerberg. The email stated that Mark has managed to make a prototype of the site and he wanted Andrew to do the graphics. Initially Andrew was reluctant as he was not a skilled graphic designer. But, later he was convinced by Mark. McCollum designed the original logo and icons for the site.
He dropped out of college to dedicate more time for the enhancement of the project. Later, he was back to finish his academic degree. Getting involved in Facebook was an once-in-a-lifetime experience for him. The team never thought that their creation would become such an incredible world changing service one day. But they always saw the potential in it. They worked hard to make the features of this application user friendly. Andrew, along with Adam D’Angelo (co-founder and CEO of Quora), also launched a file sharing system that was linked to Facebook. It was named as Wirehog. The team initially faced a lot of challenges but overcame them most of the times. The priority of the team was to deliver optimum service to its users worldwide.
