Adam Mitchel Lambert is an American singer, songwriter, and actor. He came into prominence after being declared the runner-up in the eighth season of popular competition TV series ‘American Idol.’ Lambert’s professional career took off at the age of 10, when he featured in local theatrical productions, including ‘You’re a Good Man,’ ‘Camelot,’ ‘Grease,’ ‘Hello,’ and ‘Charlie Brown.’ He performed as an understudy in the touring Broadway musical ‘Wicked’ and shared the stage with Val Kilmer in the opening show of the musical ‘Ten Commandments.’ Adam also took to honing his singing and music composition skills from an early age and created an underground rock band called ‘The Citizen Vein’ along with his friends. Following his successful run in the ‘American Idol’ summer tour, he collaborated with ‘RCA Records’ for launching his first album ‘For Your Entertainment,’ which opened at the third position on ‘Billboard 200.’ One of the singles from the album earned him a ‘Grammy’ nomination under the category, ‘Best Male Pop Vocal Performance.’ His sophomore album ‘Trespassing,’ which released three years later, featured on ‘Billboard 200.’ However, it was not as commercially successful as his first album. After appearing in the eighth season of ‘American Idol,’ Adam was featured in the subsequent seasons of ‘American Idol,’ including an appearance as a panelist in the 14th season. He was the lead vocalist for ‘Queen’ during one of its nationwide music tours, substituting late Freddie Mercury. ‘Original High,’ Adam’s third studio release, opened at number three on ‘US Billboard 200.’

Childhood & Early Life
  • In 2009, Adam Lambert was in his elements while auditioning for ‘American Idol Season 8’ in San Francisco. By singing highly popular original tracks like ‘Believe, ‘Rock with You,’ ‘Some Kind of Wonderful,’ and ‘I Can’t Get No Satisfaction,’ he made it to the last 13 with ease.
  • In the subsequent stages of ‘American Idol,’ where episodes were broadcast live across the US, he made an indelible impression on the judges by singing hit singles of Michael Jackson, ‘U2,’ ‘Aerosmith,’ and ‘Led Zeppelin.’
