Famous Mexican Pop Singers

Luis Miguel is a Mexican singer. Having performed in a wide range of styles like pop and jazz, Miguel is considered the most successful artist in the history of Latin America. One of the best-selling Latin musicians ever, Miguel is credited with popularizing the bolero genre. Thanks to his popularity, he has been referred to as the Latin Frank Sinatra.

Mexican singer-actor Anahi began her entertainment career with the show Chiquilladas as a toddler. She later soared to fame as Mia Colucci from the popular telenovela Rebelde and was also part of the hit pop group RBD. She is best known for her Billboard-topping track Rumba.

Starting her entertainment career at age 5, Dulce María was seen in countless commercials before she began performing in music groups and telenovelas. She soared to fame as Roberta Alexandra from the popular series Rebelde. She also released hit singles such as No Sé Llorar and worked with PETA.

Mexican singer-songwriter and actress Belinda Peregrín, tagged as "Princess of Latin Pop" by international press is best known for her commercially hit studio albums like Belinda and Utopía and singles like Vivir, which made her the third best-selling female Mexican act. She also had screen success with films like The Cheetah Girls 2 and Mexican telenovelas like Amigos x siempre.   

Ariel Camacho was a Mexican singer and songwriter best remembered for leading his Regional Mexican band, Ariel Camacho y Los Plebes del Rancho. He died in a car accident at the age of 22. Following his death, his album El Karma became immensely popular. His band continues to make albums in his honor. 

Mexican singer Margo Rey was born to a Flamenco dancer mother. She ventured into music at 11 and never looked back, tasting success with her rare blend of jazz and pop, which she calls “Organica.” She is a breast cancer survivor and is married to comedian Ron White.

The daughter of Mexican actor Susana Dosamantes, Paulina Rubio had decided to become a singer at age 7. She soared to fame with the children’s band Timbiriche and later released chart-topping solo tracks such as Mio. She has appeared in telenovelas and has hosted the show Vive el Verano, too.

Born to photographer parents, singer-songwriter Julieta Venegas was naturally included toward the arts and was trained in ballet, painting, and music in childhood. She later performed with bands such as Tijuana No! and also released solo hits such as Me Voy. The 6-time Latin Grammy winner is also a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.

Mexican actor Paulina Goto soared to fame with the telenovela Niña de mi Corazón and later also performed as part of the pop group Eme 15. She was also in the news for her relationship with her Un camino hacia el destino co-star Horacio Pancheri, though they broke up later.

Mexican singer, actor, and host Lucero is lovingly referred to as La Novia de América by her fans. Initially a child actor, she later starred in countless telenovelas and films. She also released chartbusting tracks such as La única que te entiende. She was married to singer Manuel Mijares for 14 years.

Known as La Luna de América, Mexican singer Ana Gabriel had started performing on stage at age 6. Best known for her chartbusting hits such as Quién Como Tú and Cosas del Amor, the Grammy-nominated singer has also got her own “Star” on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Cristian Castro is a Mexican pop singer renowned for his light tenor voice range. He is counted among the most talented Hispanic pop singers of the last 30 years. Cristian Castro is also counted among the best-selling Latin artists and is known for his collaboration with popular producers like Richard Daniel Roman, Rudy Pérez, and Kike Santander.

Fey is a Mexican singer, songwriter, record producer, dancer, designer, actress, and director. She is best known for her fifth studio album La Fuerza del Destino which earned her a Latin Grammy Award nomination. A multi-talented personality, Fey has also appeared on TV shows, judging contestants in dance shows like Bailando Por Un Sueño. 

Jorge Blanco is a Mexican musician, singer, dancer, and actor. He is best known for playing León Vargas in the Disney Channel TV series Violetta. He began his career as a teenager by appearing in a few TV shows. Eventually, he launched his music career as well and has released numerous singles. He is multilingual. 

Aleks Syntek is a Mexican songwriter and singer best known for pioneering the Mexican version of the popular TV show, The Voice. Having earned nominations for prestigious awards like the Latin Grammy Awards and MTV Latin Awards, Aleks Syntek is often counted among the most popular and successful self-taught artists in Mexico.

Kalimba is a Mexican actor, singer, and voice actor. He is best known for his contribution as a voice actor, working in films like Disney's The Lion King and James and the Giant Peach. A controversial personality, Kalimba made headlines in 2011 when an arrest warrant was issued against him on charges of raping a 17-year-old girl.

Raquel Olmedo is a Cuban-born Mexican actress who achieved popularity during the last few years of Mexican cinema's Golden Age. She is best known for her portrayal of Doña Ramona González in the telenovela Abismo de pasión, which earned her the TVyNovelas Award. In 1984, Olmedo was inducted into the Paseo de las Luminarias for her television work.
