Bad Habits, his second studio album, debuted at the top position on the US Billboard 200. He has also received criticism for using the word nigga in some of his songs like TTD.

René Angélil is best remembered as singer Céline Dion’s manager and, later, husband. Born to Syrian immigrants in Canada, he grew up to be a talent manager and music producer. He met Dion when she was 12 and he was 38, and began dating her when she was 20.

PartyNextDoor is a Canadian rapper, singer, and record producer. He grew up listening to rappers, such as Jodeci, Boyz II Men, Blackstreet, and 112 and was inspired to pursue a career in music. Despite a difficult childhood marred by drug abuse and violence, he persevered and worked hard to emerge as a beloved music star. He is actively involved in philanthropy.

Canadian musician, composer, and arranger David Foster is a prominent figure in the international music scene and has worked with the likes of  Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez, and Madonna. The winner of 16 Grammy Awards, he has also been nominated for the Academy Awards thrice. He launched the David Foster Foundation to help sick children.

Devin Townsend is a Canadian singer-songwriter, musician, and record producer. He is the founder of the extreme metal band Strapping Young Lad. For several years, he was its primary songwriter, vocalist, and guitarist. He also has an extensive career as a solo artist and has more than 25 albums to his name. He suffers from depression and bipolar disorder. 

Tablo is a Korean-Canadian composer, record producer, lyricist, and hip hop recording artist. He is best known for being the producer and leader of the popular alternative hip hop group, Epik High. He is also credited with founding High Ground, an independent music label, which housed bands like The Black Skirts and Hyukoh.

Grammy Award-winning Canadian sound engineer and music producer Robert Jens Rock, or Bob Rock, has not just worked with bands such as Metallica and Aerosmith, but has also composed for films such as Mission: Impossible II and St. Elmo's Fire. He is part of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.

The lead singer of the jazz-rock group Blood, Sweat & Tears, David Clayton-Thomas was initially a homeless kid who had run away from home and had even been jailed quite a few times. Best known for his composition Spinning Wheel, he was also named to the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.

Chilly Gonzales is the stage name of Jason Charles Beck, a Canadian musician, songwriter, and producer. A versatile personality, he works in a range of musical genres, including rap, pop, and classical music. He embarked on a career in music as a young man and established himself in the field within a few years. He is a Grammy Award winner. 

A big fan of William Shakespeare, R&B singer and rapper Jahkoy Palmer began composing poems and turning them into raps by the age of eleven and debuted on stage at thirteen, performing in numerous events across Toronto before releasing his first mixtape at nineteen. Currently a popular star, he now focuses more on singing than on rapping.
