The two-time Olympic gold medalist was asked to take medication to decrease her testosterone levels, to participate in the 2021 Olympics women’s events, and filed a case in the European Court of Human Rights.
While she began her career as an international swimmer at 14, Natalie du Toit had her left leg amputated after a scooter accident. However, that didn’t deter her spirit, and she was the only disabled swimmer to compete at the Beijing Olympics. She has also won 13 Paralympic gold medals.

Jade Howard is a Zambian swimmer who took part in the Women's 100 metre freestyle event at the 2012 Summer Olympics which was held in London. Although she was unable to qualify for the semifinals, Jade Howard finished 39th overall in the heats.
