Yancy Butler is an American actress best known for playing the role of Detective Sara Pezzini in the supernatural drama series ‘Witchblade’ as well as of Ava Jenkins in the series ‘As the World Turns’. She has also done a number of films, such as ‘Hard Target’, ‘Drop Zone’, ‘Let It Be Me’, ‘The Ex’, ‘Ravager’ and ‘Kick-Ass’. Butler has contributed to numerous television movies including ‘Basilisk: The Serpent King’, ‘Wolvesbayne’, ‘Lake Placid 3’, ‘Rage of the Yeti’ and ‘Lake Placid vs. Anaconda’.   • Yancy Butler first appeared in the 1979 flick ‘Savage Weekend’ as a little girl. Her debut television appearance was in the1992 drama series ‘Mann & Machine’. After this, she appeared in seven episodes of ‘South Beach’. In 1994, the actress did the film ‘Drop Zone’. A year later, she played Corinne in the movie ‘Let It Be Me’. Then she had roles in the movies ‘Ravager’ and ‘The Ex’ in 1997. That year, Butler also began playing the role of Officer Anne-Marie Kersey in the drama series ‘Brooklyn South’.
  • In 2001 and 2002, she appeared as detective Sara Pezzini in the series ‘Witchblade’. She then joined the cast of the series ‘As the World Turns’. In the year 2010, the American beauty got featured in the flick ‘Kick-Ass’. The following year, she appeared in an episode of ‘The Mentalist’.

In March 2007, she was arrested for driving under the influence and for crashing her car in a wire-guard rail. However, the actress was released on a $500 bail later on.
