Career

Veronica Berti once played herself in the TV series ‘Great Performances’ which has been running since 1971. In 2016, she appeared in the documentary ‘Andrea Bocelli Live from Florence’. In the year 2018, she made an appearance in the documentary ‘Celebrity Fight Night in Italy.’ It also featured her husband, stepsons, and actor Antonio Banderas, among others.

Relationship with Andrea Bocelli

Veronica Berti first met Andrea Bocelli at a party in 2002. She was just 18 years old back then. Bocelli sent one of his friends to ask Berti to come to his table and the two struck up a conversation. It did not take long for a romance to bloom between them. The same year, Bocelli divorced his first wife and began dating Berti. After dating for a few years, the couple welcomed their first baby, daughter Virginia, on March 21, 2012.

Bocelli and Berti got married on 21 March 2014 in a private ceremony held at the Sanctuary of Montenero in Livorno, Italy. The wedding was extra special for them as their daughter Virginia also celebrated her second birthday on that day. Bocelli’s two sons, Matteo and Amos, as well as his ex-wife, Enrica Cenzatti, also graced the occasion. As of today, Berti continues to maintain good relationships with her husband’s sons and ex-wife.

According to Berti, Bocelli is a very intelligent man who teaches her something at every step of her life. He is a calm person who does not like to argue. She also says that her husband is the kind of an individual who forgives people until one crosses the limits. On the other hand, Bocelli believes that one of the main reasons that sustain a successful relationship is art. He feels that it is music that has played a vital role in their relationship. Currently, Berti resides with her family in Miami. Their new house is a colonial-inspired contemporary house having seven bedrooms and a huge living room by the pool.

Philanthropic Works

Berti and her husband run a foundation called the Andrea Bocelli Foundation that helps people overcoming barriers created by disability, poverty, and social exclusion. The couple is also engaged in other charitable works like building of hospitals for the underprivileged. They launched their project Voices of Haiti in partnership with the Fondation St. Luc in order to empower the people hailing from the remotest and poorest communities of the Haitian island. The “Mobile Clinic Project” was also launched as part of the program alongside their educational projects.
