Trey Sartorius Biography

Trey Sartorius gained fame initially as the brother of social media sensation and musician Jacob Sartorius. Jacob has over 21 million followers on TikTok. Trey, however, remained away from social media and only occasionally posted videos to his eponymous YouTube channel. His first YouTube video was posted on April 19, 2017. He didn’t enjoy the same success as his brother on the content creating platform. Lack of regular content was a contributing factor. He has more recently created a second YouTube channel entitled ‘Trey Sartorius – Topic’ on June 14, 2019.

Trey Sartorius joined Instagram in 2018. His first post on February 7, 2018, was captioned “..Don't forget to wear all black tomorrow to help raise awareness to stop bullying!..”. Having been subjected to bullying in school, much like his brother, he wanted to spread awareness about the harmful effects of bullying. The post generated a positive response and brought in followers. He became more active on Instagram in 2019. On March 30, 2019, he posted a picture of controversial young social media influencer Danielle Cohn, describing her as an inspiration to ‘Gen Z’. The post immediately generated criticism. Trey posted more images of Cohn and contradicted reports that the two hated each other. What the controversy did for Trey is that it brought in more subscribers from Cohn’s account. Within a matter of months, he has gained more than 12k followers on Instagram. Additionally, he has also gained paid partnerships for his posts on Instagram from brands like ‘Dior Makeup’ and ‘Disney Channel’.

Trey Sartorius has also been active on TikTok since 2016. His comedic timing has attracted the attention of thousands of fans. In 2016 and 2017, he was nominated as the ‘Choice Muser’ at the ‘Teen Choice Awards’. He also received a nomination at the 2017 ‘iHeart Radio Music Awards’ in the ‘Social Star Awards’ category. In 2017, he also earned a nomination for ‘Favorite Social Media Star’ at the ‘Radio Disney Music Awards’. He was also nominated for ‘Muser of the Year’ award at the 2017 ‘Shorty Awards’.

Simultaneously, Trey Sartorius has also been slowly making a career in acting. He has portrayed small roles in series like ‘Zoey 101’ (2005), ‘K.C. Undercover’ (2015) and ‘Game Shakers’ (2015). But his most famous role to date is that of Noah Manchester or the (nephew of) superhero Captain Man in the Nickelodeon series ‘Henry Danger’ (2014 – present). The role not only made him popular among kids and teenagers, but earned him a nomination as ‘Favorite TV Actor’ at the 2017 ‘Kids’ Choice Awards’. He has also been featured in commercials for ‘Chuck e Cheeses’, ‘Tide Pods’, and ‘Dixie Cups’, etc.

Additionally, he has released two remixes of the singles “Call Me Beep Me” and “Legendary”.

Trey Louis Sartorius was born on May 30, 2003, in Los Angeles, California. Immediately, after his birth, he was given up for adoption. His biological parents couldn’t afford to take care of him. Luckily, he was adopted by Rolf and Pat Sartorius. His adopted elder brother is Jacob Sartorius (born October 2, 2002). He also has an elder sister, Caroline Sartorius (born May 28, 1997).
