Who is TomSka?
Thomas James Ridgewell, commonly known by his social media name TomSka, is an English YouTuber, filmmaker, director, screenwriter as well as an actor. TomSka’S YouTube channel has more than 5.8 million subscribers and has almost 1.4 billion views to date. Majority of his videos are of humorous genre and he also makes different kinds of web film series. His web series of ‘asdfmovie’ and the cartoon-series ‘Crash Zoom’ are amongst his most popular videos on YouTube. TomSka has also been part of short filmmaking for Comedy Central as well as BBC. He also owns a media production company named ‘Turbopunch Ltd.’ and a website named ‘CakeBomb’ for his cartoon shows. He interacts with his viewers a lot. He runs a secondary channel on YouTube by the name of ‘DarkSquidge’ which deals with various kinds of vlogs as well as the backstage activities of TomSka’s everyday work. TomSka is also very outspoken about mental and sexual health and he reaches out to people through his vlogs on his channel quite often.
Since his younger days, TomSka started making random short videos using his family camcorder and set up a website named ‘CakeBomb’ where he started uploading his videos. TomSka along with his friend, Edd Gould, started making their own viral animated video series titled ‘asdf movie’.
TomSka started his eponymous YouTube channel. His animated series ‘asdfmovie’, which has dark humour became very popular on his channel. He has has also released a book on it. The book, ‘Art is Dead: the asdf book’, is a creation of TomSka with the help of Matt Ley (illustrator) and Little Brown (publisher).
TomSka opened a secondary channel, ‘DarkSquidge’, on YouTube where he started sharing backstage activities. He uploads weekly vlogs on the channel. He also talks a lot about serious subjects like mental and sexual health.
In 2012, TomSka founded ‘TurboPunch Ltd.’, his own media production company. Writer Eddie Bowley and video editor Elliot Gough also joined him in the company to make videos for their secondary channel on YouTube. After his long-term friend Edd Gould died of leukaemia in 2012, TomSka took charge of the show ‘Eddsworld’. But he only worked as a caretaker and after four years, he left the show in the hands of Edd Gould’s family.
He launched a webtoon series named ‘Crash Zoom’, on his primary YouTube channel, which features three main characters named Kate, Lucy and Ben. He has also made several short videos for BBC and Comedy Central. His second book ‘Sam Kills Christmas’ co-authored by Eddie Bowley was released in 2018.

He has a huge social media presence among his audience yet there is very little personal information known to them.
