Tera Patrick is an American adult film actress and glamour model. She featured as ‘Penthouse Pet of the Month’ in February 2000. She became the runner-up of the ‘Penthouse Pet of the Year’ in 2002. Patrick began her modeling career at the age of 14 when she was spotted by the 'Morning Sun' and moved to Tokyo. She returned to the US at the age of 16 and studied microbiology. Patrick rejected a job offer to work as a nurse and chose modeling as a career instead. Thereafter, she appeared on several popular men’s magazines. In 1999, she made her debut in the adult film industry with Bondage and Domination tapes but soon forayed into mainstream adult films. Patrick soon rose to the top position with her beautiful body. She grabbed the second position in Complex magazine’s 2011 ranking of top adult film stars. Tera Patrick was born on July 25, 1976, to David Hopkins, an American Army doctor and a Thai mother. Her birth name is Linda Ann Hopkins but she chose Tera Patrick as her stage name. Her mother left for Thailand when Patrick was 10 years old, so she grew up in San Francisco with her father.
She moved to Tokyo to pursue modeling at the age of 14 under a contract with 'Morning Sun,' an international division of the prestigious 'Ford Modeling Agency.' During this time, Patrick became addicted to alcohol and substance abuse, and was subsequently sent back to the US by her agency for her addiction.
Tera Patrick earned an undergraduate degree in microbiology from the Boise State University. She is also a trained emergency medical technician from the American Institute of Health Technology.

Tera Patrick forayed into mainstream adult film industry, in 1999. She has featured in 118 adult films and modeled for almost every popular adult magazine. In 1999, she launched ‘The Tera Patrick Show,’an internet talk show featuring adult film stars and other people from the adult film industry to talk about the business.
Her popular appearances on TV include 'Last Call with Carson Daly,' 'Chelsea Lately,' 'The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch,' 'FOX News,' 'MSNBC,' and 'Telemundo.' She also featured in ‘Rock Star Wives,' the E! Channel series ‘True Hollywood Story’ alongside her then husband, Evan Seinfeld.
In 2010, she featured in the Indonesian horror film ‘Rintihan Kuntilanak Perawan’ (Moaning of Virgin Ghost), which marked her entry into mainstream movies. She also features as a playable character in 'Backyard Wrestling 2,' a popular video game.
She featured on both the US and the UK editions of the FHM magazine and other popular mainstream men’s magazines, such as Maxim Girls and Corpses. She was also associated with a successful feature column, where she offered advice on sexual matters, from 2003 to 2008, in the UK edition of FHM.

After her divorce with Seinfeld in 2009, she remains the single owner of Teravision INC.
Since 2010, Patrick is dating Tony Acosta, a popular special effects Hollywood artist, who has been associated with movies, such as ‘300’ and ‘Dawn of the Dead.' In 2012, she gave birth to their baby girl, Sophia Acosta. She lives in Los Angeles with Acosta, her daughter Sofia, and a pet dog Chopper.
Currently, she is working on her second novel (presumably a sequel to her first novel ‘Sinner Takes All’) and planning to venture into prospects of public speaking and education.
