Prior to Svetlana, Dreyfuss had been married twice in his life. His first wife was writer and producer Jeramie Rain, to whom he was married from March 20, 1983, to September 14, 1992. They have three children together, Emily (born 1983), Benjamin (born 1986), and Harry (born 1990). In 1999, Dreyfuss exchanged wedding vows with Janelle Lacey but they parted ways in 2005.
