Although her parents did not want her to start an acting career, she caught the eye of producer James Duff, who recognized her acting potential. He persuaded her parents to allow her to appear in his police procedural drama ‘The Closer’ in 2009. The show also featured her mother who played the role of ‘Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson.’ Young Sosie enjoyed the experience of acting, after which she finished school to please her parents.
She completed high school and joined the prestigious ‘Brown University’ for further studies. She also studied acting at the musical theater company ‘CAP21,’ while at the university.
