Early Life & Career

Shannon was born Shannon Storms, on March 24, 1964, in California. She was raised in Bel-Air and lived in Rancho Santa Fe, in San Diego County, where she attended high school. Shannon later graduated from the 'University of South Carolina' (USC).

Shannon has made a few TV appearances. She has been part of the 'Bravo' reality series 'The Real Housewives of Orange County' (RHOC) since its ninth season. The show had Shannon revealing several aspects of her married life. In 2015, she appeared in an episode of the 'Bravo' comedy–drama ‘Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce.' Her most recent TV appearance was in an episode of another 'Bravo' series, ‘Ex-Housewife.' Shannon has also appeared in 'Home & Family' (2015), 'FabLife' (2015), 'Steve Harvey’ (2015), 'Hollywood Today Live' (2016), 'Flipping Out' (2016), and the 2017 documentary miniseries ‘Then and Now with Andy Cohen.’

On ‘RHOC,’ Shannon made a few of her co-contestants envious. One of them was Heather Dubrow, who is known for owning uber-luxurious mansions. Shannon overshadowed her when she flaunted her own house, which is considered the largest in all of Bonita Canyon. Her house even has a basketball court inside it. Interestingly, both their mansions were built by the same builder, architect, and designer.

Shannon is a prominent advocate of fitness practices and promotes an organic and green lifestyle. She lost several pounds after her divorce, which projected her as a fitness freak. Shannon also discourages too much dependence on modern technologies. She always keeps herself detoxified. Shannon has over a million followers on 'Instagram.'

Married Life & Divorce

Shannon got married to David Beador, owner of ‘Beador Construction, Inc.,’ a California-based construction company, on September 16, 2000. They have three daughters, Sophie, Adeline, and Stella. Shannon and David had met in Orange County while she was in ‘USC.’

They parted ways due to David’s extramarital affair. However, the problems in their marriage persisted since the beginning of their relationship. In 2003, David was arrested and charged with battery against a ''cohabitant” and “assault” when a fight between them escalated. He was, however, given a clean chit, and the case was eventually dismissed 3 years later.

Shannon revealed that her marriage was already on the rocks much before she had started filming for ‘RHOC.’ Their marital problems soon became the highlight of the show. However, in her first season of the show, she did not reveal anything about David’s infidelity.

David had had an affair with a married woman named Nicole McMackin, the CEO of 'Irvine Technology Corporation' in California. Shannon initially had no idea about the affair and came to know about it only in April 2014, much before the tenth season of ‘RHOC,’ when she happened to overhear a few telephone conversations and found some hotel receipts. Shannon, however, tried to fix her marriage for the sake of her daughters, but everything went in vain.

She and David gave an interview to Andy Cohen and revealed several details regarding their troubled marriage. She shared an incident in which David had given his wedding ring to Stella, saying he did not want it anymore. She also revealed David’s actions had hurt her even more because she was Nicole’s friend. Nicole had apparently befriended her only to get details about her marriage.

Shannon filed for divorce in December 2017. The divorce was settled in April 2019. David agreed to pay her $1.4 million according to the divorce agreement. They have been granted the joint legal and physical custody of their daughters. She is also supposed to get a combined monthly child and spousal support of $10,000.

Family & Personal Life

Shannon spends her free time with energy specialist and Feng Shui advisor Elaine Wright, to get rid of negative vibes. Her belief in Feng Shui strengthened after her twins were born and she had to move her 3-year-old Sophie into a new room. Apparently, Sophie would initially scream all night. Shannon then consulted a doctor who recommended Elaine and her ideas to her. When Elaine saw Shannon’s daughter’s room, she immediately moved some furniture around, and since then, Sophie has never had sleepless nights. Moreover, their lives underwent a drastic change since they got acquainted with Elaine and followed her Feng Shui suggestions.

Shannon's favorite specialist is Dr. Moon, who has made a few appearances on ‘RHOC.’ On Dr. Moon’s suggestion, Shannon keeps a bowl with nine lemons in the sit-out area of her home. She also uses healing crystals and even has little fragments of jewels in her teeth. Shannon once revealed that the first two jewels had cost her $20,000.

Shannon has moved on and found love again, in businessman John Janssen, the vice president of a California-based insurance brokerage firm named 'Wood Gutmann & Bogart.' The two have already made their relationship public through social media. The two had met through mutual friends. In 2018, the two revealed being in a relationship through an ‘Instagram’ picture of their trip to New York City with friends.

Shannon had previously dated Scot Matteson, an Orange County/Newport Beach real-estate developer and co-founding partner of 'Centurion Partners, LLC.' She had met Scot through friends. Scot, too, was fond of Shannon’s daughters. When they met, he was a young widower. He had lost his wife Kimberly Ann in 2014. Interestingly, Shannon was a friend of Scot’s late wife. He had two teenage daughters from his marriage and one form Sarah Pavlik (who later accused Scot of physical abuse). Scot and Shannon broke up after a few months of dating.
