Sean Fujiyoshi is a renowned American editor, cinematographer, and producer of Japanese origin. He partnered with his friend and popular "YouTuber" and comedian Ryan Higa at 'Ryan Higa Production Company' (RHPC). The 'YouTube' channel titled ‘nigahiga’ was the first ‘RHPC’ venture and has earned over 21 million subscribers by now. Sean has been associated with the channel as its editor, cinematographer, and producer since the beginning. He quit the channel for a while to pursue engineering. Sean and Ryan reunited in 2013 and have been regular members of the channel since then. A music video that featured popular 'YouTube' personality, singer, and actor Chester See marked the return of Sean to ‘nigahiga.’ Sean and Ryan have also starred in a feature film titled 'Ryan and Sean's Not So Excellent Adventure.'
Sean and Ryan are high-school friends. They began by filming comedy home-videos exclusively for their friends and family. Eventually, their friends, too, began to show interest. They launched their 'YouTube' channel, ‘nigahiga,’ in July 2006. Initially, the channel focused on lip-sync videos. However, Sean and Ryan soon introduced a variety of content on the channel. The channel is now popular for skits, rants, and music-video parodies. Their short video series 'How to be' was a huge success. The channel now has over 21 million subscribers.
Following the huge success of their channel, Sean and Ryan starred in a feature-length independent movie titled 'Ryan and Sean's Not So Excellent Adventure.’ The film is largely based on the duo’s personal experiences in shaping their 'YouTube' careers. The film also depicted their fictionalized versions and their efforts to step into Hollywood. The idea of the movie was conceived by the father of a 10-year-old fan of Sean and Ryan. The little fan showed his father one of their 'YouTube' videos, which he liked a lot. The child’s father, Derek Zemrak, was a movie producer and soon began the production of the film. Later, a behind-the-scenes video series was uploaded on 'YouTube' and garnered more than a million views.
Eventually, Sean and Ryan parted ways, as both of them turned toward education. While Ryan got enrolled at a college in Las Vegas, Sean moved to California with his girlfriend to pursue a career in engineering. However, during that phase, Ryan single-handedly managed the channel that is headquartered in Las Vegas. The ‘RHPC’ crew threw a surprise party and made a video for Sean, sending their best wishes to him.
In 2012, Sean and Ryan reunited. Sean guest-starred in the ‘nigahiga’ music video, 'Bromance.’ The video also featured popular 'YouTube' personality, singer, and actor Chester See. Sean and Ryan also wrote and filmed their own short independent film, 'Ninja Melk'. Simultaneously, Sean worked on his engineering projects. From August 2012 to May 2013, he worked on designing and testing a mechanical speed bump that converted vertical motion to rotational motion to run an electric generator and produce electrical power. The project bagged Sean and his team the award for the 'Most Outstanding Senior Design Project' in 2013.
In June 2013, Sean became the editor, cinematographer, and producer of ‘nigahiga.’ He worked as a side-contractor for both Ryan’s primary and secondary 'YouTube' channels. Sean took care of every aspect of filming, from pre-production to post-production. During this period, Sean also made regular appearances in ‘nigahiga’s videos.
