Scotty catapulted into instant stardom when he joined the cast of the reality television series Geordie Shore aired on MTV in England. The series is an adaptation of the famous American show Jersey Shore and is set in the beaches of Newcastle, England.

Scotty featured as a guest star in the third season and joined the series full time in its fourth season and is still a part of it in the current 14th season. He had absolutely no problem gelling with the existing cast members and adapt to the ‘party all the time’ atmosphere of the show.

His popularity soon reached new heights and his character became one of the most top-rated characters in reality television.

Since 2012, his continued association with ‘Geordie Shore’ but Scotty has appeared in a number of other reality television shows as well.

He took part in the Celebrity Big Brother show in its 17th season and came out of the house as the winner. He is the second cast member of Geordie Shore to win the Celebrity Big Brother.

He has also featured as the main cast member of the show Ex on The Beach with his ex-girlfriend, Ashleigh Defty. He has also made a cameo appearance in the show Neighbours as himself.

He was also seen getting pretty hot and heavy with Celebrity Big Brother housemate, Meghan McKenna, and was also rumored to have been involved with Ex on the Beach co-star, Jemma Lucy, girlfriend to his best friend, Dave Hawley.

His image and his lifestyle took a toll on his personal life and the result was he split up with long time on and off girlfriend Francessca Toole for good. Scotty is currently rumored to be dating another Geordie Shore costar Chloe Ferry.
