Rudolph Ingram, a regular youngster from Tampa, Florida, recently became famous when he clocked in a record-winning sprint of 13.48 seconds in a 100-meter race.   • Before Rudolph Ingram became a star on the internet, he was just a regular 7-year-old boy who attended Cahoon Elementary School and loved practicing sports. However, in February 2019, his videos went viral over the internet and he became a famous figure overnight. In a video that has since gone viral, Rudolph was seen participating in a 100-meter run and clocking in at 13.48 seconds, which is only a few seconds short of many professional runners. With this race, he earned the nickname, ‘Blaze the Great,’ and was also referred to as the ‘next Usain Bolt’ of the world. He not only won that race but also set a record for his age group in the United States. His father, who also works as his trainer, has been coaching Rudolph since he was a child and has constantly motivated him to push harder. As a result of his father’s determination and Rudolph’s natural talent, he previously won the 100-meter race and came second in the 200 meters competition at the Amateur Athletic Union championships. His success was featured in the Washington Post, The Chicago Tribune, and the New York Times.
  • Rudolph is also an accomplished footballer and a member of the Tampa Ravens Football Organization. He regularly practices with the team and has scored many touchdowns in their playoff matches. In a match against Sarasota Packers, Rudolph’s 80-yard touchdown in the last 15 seconds helped the team win the match. He was also awarded the Most Valuable Player award at the end of the season. When asked why he plays both track and football, Rudolph mentioned that each sport serves as a training ground for the other. Rudolph currently boasts of a follower count of over 400,000 on Instagram where he regularly posts videos of his training sessions as well as images of his younger brother. In an ode to his nickname ‘Blaze’, Rudolph wears Nike trainer shoes that have an embedded logo of a flame of fire. As he is still very young, his father manages his Instagram account.
