Quinta Brunson Biography

Quinta Brunson was born on December 21, 1989, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. She was raised in Philadelphia along with her brothers and sisters. As a kid, Brunson loved watching sitcoms. She also developed interest in comedy and realized quite early that she wanted to become an actress. She enrolled at the famous ‘Temple University,’ where she was part of a comedy show titled ‘Temple Smash.’ But she dropped out of the university to pursue her dream of becoming an actress. She then joined ‘The Second City’ in Chicago, where she completed an intensive course on improvisational comedy.

Quinta Brunson started her career by posting comedy videos on social media. She found success and fame with her video series titled ‘The Girl Who’s Never Been on a Nice Date’ on Instagram. The Instagram series went viral, earning her an opportunity to work with ‘BuzzFeed Motion Pictures.’ She joined the Los Angeles based internet marketing service in 2014 and eventually became a development partner at ‘BuzzFeed.’ During her time at ‘BuzzFeed,’ Brunson came up with her first full-fledged comedy series ‘Broke,’ which she sold to YouTube Red (YouTube Premium). In 2017, she came up with another project titled ‘Up for Adoption,’ which was streamed on Verizon’s free streaming service ‘Go90.’ In the same year, she became one of the stars to be mentioned in Forbes’ ‘30 Under 30’ list. In 2018, she was roped in to play Ruby in the CW comedic drama pilot ‘The End of the World as We Know It.’ The pilot is based on Iva-Marie Palmer’s book of the same name.
