POiiSED Bio

POiiSED created his YouTube channel on May 24, 2011, and began uploading in September that year with a short video of under half a minute, titled FOOTZ GETs LUCKy. At the time, he used the slightly different spelling, “POiiZED”, for his online alias. His next video, posted days later, was his first commentary video and was well appreciated by his budding fan base. All his videos for nearly a year featured the newly released third-person shooter game, Gears of War 3.

In July 2012, he began uploading gameplay videos of the survival horror game, Slender: The Eight Pages, the first horror game to feature on his channel, but he continued to make videos on shooter games like Gears of War 3 and Call of Duty: Black Ops II. By 2013, he had switched mostly to horror games and often made videos on games like Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Slender: The Arrival, Pesadelo, DreadOut, Outlast, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs and more. In early October 2014, he made a video thanking his fans after reaching 20kK subscribers on his YouTube channel. In next August, he had reached 100K subscribers and received his Silver Play button. Since then, he has steadily grown his following to cross two million subscribers milestone on his channel. He is also active on Twitch, Instagram and TikTok.

Within a couple years of starting his YouTube channel, POiiSED had become well-known for his reaction videos to horror games featuring high-pitched screams. He often made compilations of his reactions to jump-scares in the video games he played and began calling such compilations “Screamtages”, which were quite popular among his fans. Other than his hilarious screams and jump-scares, he is also well-liked for his witty commentary on his videos.

He has gradually evolved his channel to include games from genres other than horror, and even uploads other types of videos such as challenges, pranks and reaction videos. With his group called “The Boyz”, he usually plays multiplayer games such as Garry's Mod horror maps, Overwatch, Minecraft, Fall Guys, Among Us, etc. He often collaborates with his friends including Dashie, CoryxKenshin, and WoodyGotEm. Furthermore, he enjoys interacting with his community. Early on, he used to respond separately to almost all the comments on his videos, and is still known for his nice attitude towards his fans. Moreover, compared to his early videos, he has chosen to avoid swearing on his channel to keep his content family-friendly. According to his LinkedIn profile, he is focused on bringing positivity in the gaming community by creating an inclusive and welcoming environment in which his fans can share a laugh.

POiiSED was born on January 10, 1992 in the United States. Despite the fact that POiiSED has gained over two million fans during his YouTube career spanning a decade and actively interacts with his followers on various social media platforms, he has not opened up about his family background, nor shared his real name. The only things known about him are that he is of African-American descent and that he has lived in Brockton, Massachusetts and McKinney, Collin County, Texas. He has a brother with whom he has recorded some of his gameplay videos.
