Nathan Schwandt Bio

Prior to his social media fame, Nathan Schwandt used to work as a pet-shop employee in Michigan. However, after he began dating Jeffree Star and moved to California, he encouraged Jeffree Star to start his YouTube career and began appearing in his videos. As Jeffree became a successful beauty vlogger and launched his own cosmetics line, Nathan took up the responsibility of the logistics department at his warehouse. He eventually left his position in the warehouse to take care of the family, which consists of five Pomeranian puppies. He has also started a Marijuana side business together with his partner Jeffree, who doesn't drink alcohol but has publicly expressed his love for cannabis. Apart from making regular appearances on Jeffree's videos, he has also become a social media star in his own right and has over 1.5 million followers on Instagram.

Nathan Schwandt was born on August 18, 1993 in Michigan, United States. He is one of two children of his parents and has a younger brother named Zach. He is passionate about skateboarding and can play the guitar. A down-to-earth person, he still often finds time to hang out with his friends from before his rise to fame.

Nathan Schwandt met Jeffree Star via Instagram after he sent Jeffree a DM on the image sharing platform. They gradually became close friends by regularly communicating via text messages and video calling. Jeffree eventually invited Nathan to visit him in Los Angeles, following which Nathan flew from Michigan to California to meet Jeffree for the first time. In March 2015, they went on their first date to the Santa Monica Pier where they dined together and then took a romantic stroll at the beach. The couple later began living together at Jeffree's residence in California.

In July 2016, Jeffree accompanied Nathan to Michigan to meet his family. Jeffree subsequently gave Nathan's brother Zach the responsibility to help with the expansion of his cosmetics company and also offered him to live with them in California. Jeffree is also very close to other members of Nathan's family and did a makeup video together with Nathan's father.

Jeffree has several times referred to himself as Nathan's 'wifey', but according to reports, they are not in a rush to get married. They also have a very high level of trust between them and know each other's phone passwords. They have five Pomeranian puppies whom they refer to as their babies: Diva, Diamond, Daddy, Delicious and Drama. Jeffree already had two pets, Diva and Diamond, and Nathan brought three later after they began living together. Thanks to his previous experience at the pet shop, it is mostly Nathan who takes care of their pets. The couple recently bought a house in Grand Rapids, Michigan and spend a few weeks each year there.

Nathan Schwandt has courted criticism from fans of Jeffree after it was revealed that he had only dated women prior to his involvement with Jeffree. Some called him a cheat for describing himself as straight, while others thought he was a gold digger who was with Jeffree for his fame and money. However, he clarified in a Q&A video on Jeffree's channel that while he was always interested in men, being from the Midwest, such relationships were not an option for him. He also assured them that he doesn't believe that relationships are bound by gender, and feels that the connection two people feel between them is of utmost importance. Moreover, they revealed that when the two had first started dating in 2015, Jeffree didn't have his cosmetics company and was not a YouTube beauty guru either. In fact, it was Nathan who had encouraged him to pursue YouTube and had also helped set up the company when it first started. According to some sources, Nathan might be the actual reason behind the Twitter war between Jeffree and makeup artist Manny Gutierrez.
