Naomie Harris is an English actress who began her acting career as a child artist, appearing in the 1987 children’s TV series “Simon and the Witch”. She then went on to portray a wide range of characters in films and television programs. She played the popular characters of the witch Tia Dalma in the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ movies, of Eve Moneypenny in the famous James Bond movies ‘Spectre’ and ‘Skyfall,’ and of Selena in ‘28 Days Later’. Harris also starred in a key role in the critically acclaimed flick “Moonlight” and gave a terrific performance that earned her several award nominations. Raised by a single mother, the actress grew up with her two half-siblings in a humble background. She studied at St Marylebone School and Woodhouse College before attending the Pembroke College for her higher education. She worked hard from a young age to become independent and establish herself as a successful professional in her chosen field. In the 2017 New Year Honors, Harris was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for her services to drama.
