Nam Joo-hyuk is a South Korean actor and model. He is best known for appearing in the TV series Who Are You: School 2015, Bride of the Water God and Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo. Besides these, he has starred in the TV programs Cheese in the Trap, Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, The Bride of Habaek, Glamorous Temptation and The Idle Mermaid. Nam Joo-hyuk has also appeared as a guest and cast member in a variety of shows, such as Saturday Night Live Korea, Off to School, Running Man', Celebrity Bromance, My Ear's Candy and Three Meals a Day: Gochang Village. He has also worked in a handful of music videos for popular singers. Talking about the young Korean star’s achievements, he has won quite a few awards in his acting career. He won the Best New Actor award at the 4th APAN Star Awards event for his performance in Who Are You: School 2015. The same performance fetched him the Popularity Award, Actor at the event of 29th KBS Drama Awards. Nam Joo-hyuk also received the Best New Actor award at the 36th MBC Drama Awards function for his work in Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo.

Nam Joo-hyuk started his career as a model in 2013 when he modelled for SONGZIO Homme Spring/Summer collection. The following year, he got featured in music videos of Akdong Musician as well as made his acting debut on TV in the drama The Idle Mermaid. During this time, he also guest-starred in an episode of Saturday Night Live Korea. In 2015, the Korean actor was cast as Han Yi-an in the teen drama series Who Are You: School 2015 and as Jin Hyung-woo in the series Glamorous Temptation.

Nam Joo-hyuk also guest-starred in the series Running Man and appeared in a music video of the song Chocolate. In 2016, he played a supporting role in the television series Cheese in the Trap, Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo and Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo. The same year, he served as a cast member in the variety shows Celebrity Bromance, Three Meals a Day and My Ear's Candy. In 2017, Nam Joo-hyuk appeared as Ha Baek in a fantasy-romance series titled The Bride of Habaek.

In 2018, he made his big screen debut in the movie The Great Battle and won the Best New Actor award at Blue Dragon Awards. Nam Joo-hyuk’s other ventures include fantasy romance drama The Light In Your Eyes (2019), Netflix's supernatural crime drama The School Nurse Files (2020) and romance film Josee (2020).

Nam Joo-hyuk was born on February 22, 1994 in Busan, South Korea as the only child of his parents. At the age of 16, he moved to Suwon. He did not study in college as he thought it was not at all required. In April 2017, Nam Joo-hyuk’s agency reported that he and actress-model Lee Sung-kyung are in a romantic relationship. However, on August 18, 2017, they revealed that both have ended their relationship due to their busy schedules.
