Mopreme Shakur, born as Maurice Williams, is an American rapper best known for being a former member of the group Thug Life. He was also a part of the hip-hop group The Outlawz once, but later dropped out from it. Shakur, who is the older step-brother of late rapper Tupac Shakur, has worked with several artists till date. He has sung numerous songs including the famous ‘Papaz Song’ from the album ‘Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z.’. With Thug Life, the American rapper has released the album ‘Thug Life: Volume 1’ and the mix tape ‘Thug Life: Demo Tape’. He also released the album titled ‘Black & Brown Pride’ with Los Angeles-based disc jockey cum producer Assassin. In addition, Shakur contributed to the albums ‘Heart of a Soulja’ and ‘Alpha Thug’ which unfortunately never got released. Talking about the rapper’s personal life, Shakur is not a media loving person and so little is known about his private life. However, he is active on social networking platforms like Linkedin and Myspace though he doesn’t use Instagram or Twitter.

Mopreme Shakur’s first recorded appearance was in 1990 when he worked under the alias “Mocedes” for Tony Toni Toné's single ‘Feels Good.’ His then collaborated with his brother and worked on the single ‘Papaz Song’ for the album named ‘Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z.’. In 1993, Shakur, along with his brother and pals Macadoshis, Rated R, and Big Syke, formed the hip hop group Thug Life. The group released its only album titled ‘Thug Life: Volume 1’ on September 26, 1994. He was also a member of the music group The Outlawz but he later dropped out due to some disputes.
In early 2007, the American rapper released the mixtape ‘Black & Brown Pride’ with disc jockey and producer Assassin. After this, he got featured on the soundtrack of the film ‘Intoxicating’ alongside John Savage, Eric Roberts and Kirk Harris. Then in 2008, Shakur disclosed that he has become a consulting producer for the BET series American Gangster’s segment named ‘Mutulu Shakur and The Republic of New Afrika.’

Mopreme Shakur was born as Maurice Williams in 1967 in New York City, New York, United States, to parents Sharan Harding and Mutulu Shakur. Four or five years after his birth, his father went on to marry Afeni Shakur, who had a daughter and a son, Sekyiwa and Tupac (who was later shot dead). As Shakur is a secretive person, nothing is known about his dating life to the media. Also, there seem to be no possibilities of him joining any popular social networking sites like Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook in the near future due to his reticent nature.
