The music video became a huge hit and featured at number 32 on the US Billboard Hot 100 list.
Zappa appeared in her brother’s debut single, ‘My Mother Is a Space Cadet’, which she helped write as well. Soon, the siblings found popularity which brought them television offers and they appeared on MTV many times throughout the 1980s.

Family & Personal Life
Moon Zappa was born on September 28, 1967, in New York City, New York, to the iconic musician Frank Zappa and his second wife Gail Zappa. She is the eldest of the couple’s four children. Zappa completed her schooling from the independent day school Oakwood School in the Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles.
She got married to Paul Doucette, the guitarist of the music band Matchbox Twenty. The couple had a daughter named Mathilda Plum Doucette. After more than a decade of marriage, they divorced in 2014.
After Frank Zappa’s death, Gail Zappa founded a trust to control the business related to Frank Zappa’s merchandises and music. Interestingly, after Gail Zappa passed away on October 7, 2015, the control of the trust went to the younger siblings, Ahmet Zappaand Diva Zappa, with both getting 30 percent of the shares. Moon and Dweezil Zappa were given only 20 percent of the shares each, which was quite shocking to both of them. It was also revealed that the two elder siblings would not get any money from the trust until it is profitable and would need permission from their younger siblings to make money from their father’s legacy.
