Mikayla Sofia Abdalla is an American film and television actress. She has gained fame for portraying McKeyla McAlister in Netflix’s ‘Project Mc²’. A native of Texas, Abdalla has been interested in performing since an early age. She made her acting debut at the age of eight, playing a character named Jill in ‘Barney & Friends’. She gained modest fame as a child actress and subsequently appeared in projects such as ‘Fun to Grow On’ and ‘Saige Paints the Sky’. In 2012, she appeared in her first film, a psychological horror named ‘Tinsel’. Since then, she has garnered much praise for her acting and has emerged as a possible future star. In 2015, she was cast in Netflix’s educational comedy show ‘Project Mc²’. Abdalla’s mainstream fame has made her equally famous on social media as well.   • Mika Abdalla made her screen debut in 2008, in PBS’ popular children’s television series ‘Barney & Friends’. She portrayed a character named Jill. Her next role was in the educational television series ‘Fun to Grow On’. She appeared in two episodes of the show.
  • Abdalla made her cinematic debut in 2012, in the psychological horror ‘Tinsel’, in which she played the younger version of the main protagonist Sarah (the adult version was portrayed by the American actress Alisha Revel). Abdalla followed that up with the short film ‘Departure’, comedy-drama ‘A Woman’s Worth’, musical-comedy ‘The Fandango Sisters’, and another short film ‘Hemera’s Eclipse’.

She is a national merit scholar as well. She was also interested in mathematics, which ultimately helped her in landing her role in ‘Project Mc²’. She stated in an interview that If girls could be fashion designers and makeup artists, then why they couldn't be scientists or engineers or mathematicians! She further elaborated by saying, "I feel like women feel like they can't really express themselves in those fields, like in math and science, without feeling less feminine, or feeling like it's not very cute.”
