Who is Michaela McManus?
Michaela McManus is an American actress best recognized for her portrayals of Grace Karn on NBC’s drama ‘Aquarius’ and Lindsey Strauss on The WB’s ‘One Tree Hill’. A Warwick, Rhode Island native, she became interested in the show business at an early age. Following her schooling from Toll Gate High School, she graduated from Fordham University. McManus then went on to attend NYU's graduate acting program and the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) before pursuing her acting career in Los Angeles. She began her career in 2006, initially appearing in a few short films. Two years later, McManus had a major role on television when she starred in ‘One Tree Hill’. Since then, she has acted in over ten TV series along with a few films. In 2011, the actress married producer cum writer Mike Daniels. The couple has two children.

Two years later, she was cast as Lindsey Strauss in the drama series ‘One Tree Hill’. Also in 2008, she joined the main cast of ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’ as A.D.A. Kim Greylek, a role she played until 2009. Soon after this, the actress bagged a role in ‘About Fifty’, an independent comedy flick which was released in 2011. The year 2011 also saw her in the recurring role of Jules in the supernatural teen drama ‘The Vampire Diaries’.
From 2012 to 2013, McManus starred as Noelle Sarris in a few episodes of USA Network’s ‘Necessary Roughness’. During this time, she also appeared as Tara in the police procedural drama series ‘Awake’. She had a role in Kevin McManus' 'Funeral Kings' the same year. In 2015, the actress played Grace Karn in NBC’s crime drama ‘Aquarius’. The same year also saw her in the role of Kaley in ‘Into the Grizzly Maze’, an action horror-thriller movie about two estranged brothers who are stalked by a grizzly bear as they set out on a two-day hike.
In 2017, McManus joined the cast of the military drama ‘SEAL Team’ as Alana Hayes, a character she portrayed until 2018. That year, she also began playing Lt. Janel Tyler in the sci-fi drama series ‘The Orville’. Her projects in 2018 included a guest appearance in an episode of ‘The Magicians’. A year later, the actress was cast in the main role of Sarah in ‘The Village’. The series, also starring Moran Atias and Frankie Faison, premiered in March on NBC. It was cancelled after one season.

Michaela McManus was born on May 20, 1983, in Warwick, Rhode Island, USA, to James and Patricia McManus. She has two brothers. She studied at Toll Gate High School and later enrolled at Fordham University. Following her graduation from there, she attended New York University.
In July 2011, McManus married writer cum producer Mike Daniels. The couple welcomed their first child, a son named Gabriel October Daniels, in April 2014. Their second child, a son named Declan Griffith Daniels, was born in 2016.
