She studied at Ramapo High School of New Jersey and then attended St. Lawrence University from where she earned her bachelor's degree in political science. MacCallum also studied at Circle in the Square Theatre School and founded her Miranda Theater Company. The American news anchor married Dan Gregory in 1992 and gave birth to their three kids.
