Lauren Schermerhorn Biography

Lauren Schermerhorn was born in California, United States of America. Her father, Charles Schermerhorn, is a musician who loves playing the guitar. He also writes his own music and works as an entertainment journalist. He has a music band, ‘The Terry Charles Band,’ as well. Lauren’s mother, Joanne Brenner, works at a non-profit childcare agency named ‘Para los Niños.’ Joanne Brenner earlier worked at a community college as an educator.

Lauren’s father has Scottish, English, and Dutch ancestry, while her mother is Jewish. Lauren’s mother would often remind her of her Jewish ancestry, when she was growing up. Lauren and her family lived together in Montecito Heights, Los Angeles, until her parents got separated. As a result, her relationship with her younger sister, Alison, strengthened as the girls would often try to get their parents together. Both Alison and Lauren were interested in acting when they were young. They would often display their acting skill in front of their neighbors and had decided to pursue acting. However, Lauren changed her mind after her high school. She went on to establish a career in finance and eventually became a financial advisor.

Lauren Schermerhorn is close to her sister. The two can often be seen hanging around together. She seldom attends public events alongside her famous sister. Alison often posts pictures of Lauren on her official Instagram account. In one of her interviews, Alison Brie had revealed that her performance as Trudy Campbell in the period drama series ‘Mad Men’ was partially based on her sister Lauren’s real-life mannerisms. In the same interview, she went on to describe Lauren as a perfectionist.

On August 9, 2009, Alison Brie took to her official Twitter account to announce Lauren’s engagement. Lauren likes to host Thanksgiving at her house. She invites her sister and parents on Thanksgiving Day to make sure they all meet at least once a year. Lauren currently lives in the United States of America.
