Kyle Jackson, better known by his online alias 'Mongraal', is a British professional gamer who plays the first-person shooter battle royale game 'Fortnite' developed by Epic Games. He is only 14 years old and has been playing professionally for the pro eSports group named 'Team Secret' since he was 13. He is recognized as the 'Youngest Competitive Fortnite Player' and the 'No.1 British Fortnite Player'. He has so far played in 12 tournaments for the team and has won eight of them with his teammates. While he does not earn money from his professional contract, he gets his share of the prize money won. He also has his own content for the game and often holds giveaways for his fans. 'BBC News' published an interview with him on April 29, 2018, days after the news of his recruitment was announced.
Rise to Stardom
Kyle Jackson began gaming seriously when he was eight years old. About a year later, he began playing competitively with other online players in first-person shooter games such as 'Halo' and 'Call of Duty'. When he was 11, he noticed that he was coming on top of the scoreboard of most of the competitive online games he played, sometimes even ahead of semi-pro players. Around this time he realized that he was "probably better than the average player" and could compete in games professionally. The fact that he often practiced on those games during school holidays to improve his skills was further indication of his professional bent of mind.
He also often looked over his mistakes again and again in the replay mode to correct his approach the next time he played. By the time Epic Games released 'Fortnite' in July 2017, following six years of development; it was still about a month early for his 13th birthday. Nevertheless, his natural talent for playing such games, combined with his regular attempt to improve, made him on par with much older professional players of the game within a very short period of time. On April 25, 2018, he joined the roster of 'Team Secret', a European eSports team. As soon as his real age was revealed to the public, there was immense curiosity about him on the internet and he appeared on news everywhere. He was subsequently interviewed by 'BBC News' at the end of the month, in which he was described as the youngest professional Fortnite player. He is currently also the 'No.1 British Fortnite Player'.

Kyle Jackson was one of the first members of the team's 'Fortnite' roster, as the team recruited his group of four players all at once to jump-start their 'Fortnite' run. Within two months of joining the team, he and teammate Domentos won the 6th week of the UMG Friday Fortnite Tournament, earning a prize-money of $5,000. He has since then competed in 12 'Fortnite' tournaments and has earned $18,904.22. Out of the 12 tournaments, he has won eight, has finished as runners up in two, and has come third in one. Despite being one of the best players of the game, because of his age, he was not allowed to play in the 'Summer Skirmish Weekly' tournament officially hosted by 'Fortnite'.
Family & Personal Life
Kyle Jackson was born on August 13, 2004 in Sidcup, Bexley, London, UK. He is still in school, and while online multiplayer games are often held responsible for affecting studies of young players, he mentioned that he is "doing very well in pretty much every subject".
